The trees are lost in shadow
\nMoon in Libra tends to be
\nReady to create order
\nThrough diplomacy
\nRelationships and partnerships
\nFavoured it be said
\nWith beauty and creativity
\nAll coming to a head<\/p>\n
The East Is where we congregate
\nThe South an open sky
\nDown to the lights of Chipping Norton
\nIn the West a sigh
\nIn the North some ragged stones
\nAnd a cold wind greets our gaze
\nThe moles their excavations
\nFor me an awkward phase<\/p>\n
Uneveness can trip us
\nBut seated in the dark
\nThe fire it builds and crackles
\nIts aura lights the park
\nRobed we form our circle
\nFriends warm hands entwine
\nJack Frost is clearly out there
\nin the wings
\nAnd gives his sign<\/p>\n
we are here as are ancestors
\nAll around us they
\nCreep out of the darkness
\nThough just now were far away
\nBut now appear much closer
\nAs the veil thins and we know
\nOur mums and dads and grand parents
\nAre back again in tow<\/p>\n
Existence on our own for all these years
\nA burden we
\nTook on, it was foisted on us
\nWe sought it graciously
\nBore the loss and settled
\nAnd here before us we
\nSee the stones of that corps
\nOf soldiers who would be<\/p>\n
Turned to stone
\nTheir lichened bodies
\nWeather worn and still
\nTolerated mercifully
\nBy all who feel the will
\nTo come and join our circle
\nAs druids we do share
\nOur consciousness
\nAnd enlightenment for samhain
\nSo aware<\/p>\n
even today as we believe
\nAnd, infact we feel
\nTogether on this days of days
\nNovembers chill is real
\nSo crisp and dark and even
\nOur thermals hopefully
\nWill keep the toosies comfortable
\nIn warmth and luxury<\/p>\n
Lots of familiar faces
\nAbout to join the clan
\nTo share warm breaths together
\nAnd resolutely Plan
\nThe ritual which is Summers End
\nWinter yes hello
\nThe darker half of the year
\nIs here
\nFor the lighter side did go<\/p>\n
The witches new year
\nCometh
\nIt is a liminal time
\nThe boundary between the other worlds
\nSo worthy of a rhyme
\nThe protection of the
\nFire that roars
\nthe horned god maybe he
\nWill lead his hunt into the skies

The child within us
\nComes to the fore
\nLanterns pumpkins candlelight
\nThe Elder is the celtic tree
\nthe witches feminine
