2\/3rds of this planet is ocean
\nFilled up with immeasurable wealth
\nBut man un kind tragically
\nIsn’t perceptive enough
\nAnd prefers to use stealth
\nHis industrial brain has worked overtime
\nDesigning industrial ways
\nof catching huge numbers of earthlings
\nIt has been a murderous phase.<\/p>\n
Competition with Nations to catch more and more
\nSeine nets and Long Lines, and Trawlers galore
\nThe awful destruction, the terror it causes
\n“Hiroshima” day in day out and
\nno pauses
\nEvery conceivable creature is crushed
\nWith Man unkind clueless, no doubt
\nDriven by money, and profit and blinded
\nBy what some were putting about.<\/p>\n
They ripped off each other what else could they do
\nBy catch went back in the sea
\ndying too
\nThe scramble for stocks all they wanted we know
\nAnd this death and destruction continued to grow
\n100 million tonnes caught every year
\na 1\/3rd of it crushed into meal
\nFed back to farmed fish, to chickens and pigs
\nWhat a terrible waste but so real<\/p>\n
With all of our so called computers
\nAnd our brains so extended we make
\nTerrible errors leading to terrors
\nAnd many their hearts now do break
\nAt the needlessly cruel death of oceans
\nGreat seas of plastic that be
\nNow being eaten by fish, floating toxics
\nIts madness that’s definately.<\/p>\n
And beaches are covered in jetsum
\nBottles and crates everywhere
\nPeople don’t see a shared planet
\nthe sea is their dustbin, unaware
\nIt sinks and its gone, from the simpletons mind
\nTill some fish that he eats comes along
\nAnd swallows the shit that he’s slung in the sea
\nSo many are doing it wrong<\/p>\n
The kit that they have in their head
\nHas been mortally damaged
\nsadly by what they have ate
\nThe mercury, PCB’s and all the lead
\nThey too have paid a terrible debt
\nIts not just the fish in the oceans
\nBut their own sick and warped little minds
\nThe burgers, the sausages and the dead animals
\nThey were not aware, of the signs<\/p>\n
Despite Science warning
\nThe Governments still
\nRefused to set limits
\nThey won’t now until
\nThe oceans have died
\nAnd the fish have died too
\nAnd the carbon collection
\nis gone what to do?<\/p>\n
The predator fish
\nare dying like flies
\njam packed with mercury
\nThats a surprise
\nFor the people who eat fish
\nIts toxins galore
\nAnd still we are told
\nEat some more
\nEat some more<\/p>\n
For that Omega 3
\nBut a fish let me say
\nis 3% oil only
\nSo needs to pay
\n20 kilo’s of fishes
\nAre wasted so you
\ncan have flexible joints
\nand good temperament too<\/p>\n
One litre of oil
\ncreates so much strife
\nJust imagine the earthlings
\nlosing their life
\nIts madness personified
\nBut you see they
\nGovernment yes they
\ntake taxes away<\/p>\n
Profits are made
\nThe parasites earn
\nAnd the fish and the people
\nThey bloody well burn
\nBut oceans are dying
\nThere is now no doubt
\nTo be VEGAN is something
\nthe world should now shout<\/p>\n
To the heavens
\nfor goodness sake
\nWhat we now do
\nIs kill off the planet
\nand the creatures too
\nLong lines thats
\nthousands of hooks everywhere
\nTurtles and sharks
\nand Dolphins despair<\/p>\n
24 hours till some die
\nin great pain
\nLong lines are evil
\nlaid by the insane
\nso much notoriety
\ncruel to a tee
\nThe great Trawler hordes
\nAre killing the sea<\/p>\n
There’s so much on the sea=bed
\nevery soul
\ncrushed and smashed into a soup
\nno control
\nof the waste, of the way
\nFishermen do their stuff
\nFish do feel pain
\nand enough is enough!<\/p>\n
Caught in great nets
\nPacked together and crushed
\nIts agony for them
\nits wrong but its hushed
\nup, people forget, what life is about
\nTill they lose a child
\nor a friend, then they shout<\/p>\n
But the cow in their sausage
\nthe fish on their plate
\nOr the pig in their pie
\nWell that just tastes great
\nWhat hell they went through
\nBeing factory bred
\nDeath at the hands
\nOf the slaughterhouse, led<\/p>\n

\nthe corporate fishermen, they
\nare dragging the oceans of

\nThe dioxins, the pesticides
\nand DDT
\nFire retardents,
\nendocrine disrupters

\nand the fishes are eating it

\nAnd some of us eat them
