No respite for the pachyderms
\nThe tragedy we hear
\nOf elephants shot with poisonous darts
\nAnd bullets its the fear
\nOf the largest of land animals
\nThat was created to be wild
\nIs being murdered everywhere
\nIts spirit just defiled<\/p>\n
We know ofcourse that ivory
\nHas threatened them and they
\nAre now being killed for their precious skin
\nAnd sadly its a way
\nFor the locals corrupted who
\nBreak the law and the poachers
\nThen murder they do<\/p>\n
The animals have to be skinned
\nAs soon as they fall down
\nSome we hear are skinned alive
\nThey really go to town
\nOn cruelty and vile abuse
\nWhen an animal that is shot
\nAnd injured and still dying
\nAnd sadly thete are a lot<\/p>\n
Of animals falling victim
\nTo these rogues and scoundrels who
\nAre being paid by traders
\nFor the skin for what they do
\nIs dry it and then grind it up
\nFor bogus medicines and cream
\nFor softening peoples faces
\nIts the most frightening of dream<\/p>\n
For the poison that is used to kill
\nThe elephant
\nCan be
\nstill inside the skin of course
\nAnd the skin cream so we see
\nPeople applying dreadful poisons
\nThat sink into their soul
\nAnd cause them further damage
\nThese quacks are out of control<\/p>\n
Elephant blood in bracelets
\nIts macacbre if you ask me
\nWhat is it with the people
\nHave they no dignity
\nCant they feel the karmic debt
\nThey take on when they wear
\nThese backwater treatments
\nIt really leaves me spare<\/p>\n
Creation in the beginning
\nMust have imagined
\nBy design
\nThat humans when created
\nWould be quite divine
\nThey wouldnt stoop to hunting
\nTo poaching and to this
\nEvil criminality
\nWhereas it is lawless<\/p>\n
The human being is now so base in their life journey
\nMurdering the wild souls for any reason people fail to see the value
