A romantic carriage ride
\nWith ones lady by your side
\nHolding hands together
\nBut nobody cares whether<\/p>\n
The horse that does the pulling
\nIs up for it today
\nAnd sadly in this heat we are having
\nThe poor horse is made to pay<\/p>\n
Down he goes not another step
\nHis gait was limp and bad
\nAll this work and no water
\nAnd no new hay he had<\/p>\n
The old barn he would stand
\nIn
\nWhen not pulling this thing
\nThis bloody heavy carriage
\nReally didnt bring<\/p>\n
One iota of happiness
\nIt was desolate and damp
\nRats ran almost everywhere
\nAnd not a working lamp<\/p>\n
So standing in the darkness
\nFor hours on end until
\nGoing back to work the streets
\nUntil I had had my fill<\/p>\n
And down I went I couldnt do it
\nAnymore and I
\nThought it best to just collapse
\nAnd on the street just lie<\/p>\n
Let them take the reins and bridle
\nOff of me just so I
\nCould breathe a few last breaths at last
\nAnd then just blooming die<\/p>\n
