\nSo it seems they get a double dose
\nAnd apparently that is true<\/p>\n
People are eating bush meat
\nAnd infected meat can be
\nA Means of catching anthrax
\nAnd handling it too, we see
\nContact with the animal hides
\nHair or bone or wool
\nBut thats hardly the Hippo’s fault
\nTypical cock and bull<\/p>\n
Stories thus suggesting a hunt
\nNow needs to be
\nCarried out by importing
\nThe killers which to me
\nIs a very short sighted policy
\nBased on arrogant greed
\nThere may be 25000 souls
\nBut to me its a bitter seed<\/p>\n
Its conflating two broad issues
\nAnd blaming the Hippo’s
\nAnd they
\nAre seeing a dropping in numbers
\nThe government wants to be
\nRaising its trophy killings
\nIts money in the pot
\nThe wrong kind of tourism
\nWhen a glut there just is not<\/p>\n
Cutaneous Anthrax it affects
\nWild animals and they
\nDigging in the soil
\nWhere the bacillus lies
\nMeans that they pay
\nA High price
\nAnd its possible due to
\nShortages of food
\nUngulates or ruminants
\nAre not following their brood<\/p>\n
They are acting as carnivores
\nPutting stress upon their gut
\nThe bacteria is more to do
\nWith fermentation thus
\nDigestion may be compromised
\nAnd could be a reason why
\nThey are contracting anthrax
\nAnd why some ofcourse die<\/p>\n
They are eating carrion
\nAnd eating infected souls
\nCoupled with their infected grasses
\nSo their nightly patrols
\nAt hunting and sustaining
\nThemselves appears to me
\nTo be increasing their risk
\nOf infection
\nwhich is extraordinary.<\/p>\n
They are on the red list
\nVulnerable they be
\nThere may be a concentration
\nOn the Luangwa river
\nWe
\nOften may see high density
\nBut to extrapolate
\nThat this means
\nThere are too many
\nIs open to debate<\/p>\n
Wild animals created
\nBy the great almighty they
\nAre generally much more in tune
\nWith their surroundings I will say

\nOf killing a few animals
\nAnd earning which is wrought
\nWith possibly other issues
\nLobbying and much more
\nCorruption one must
\nAlways consider

So the hunters they start coming
\nKilling all the way
\nTaking home their trophiez
\nPutting them on display
\nOpening a market
\nFor teeth and Ivory
\nWhich already is bloody expanding
\nWithout killing unconsciously<\/p>\n
Countries gifted animals
\nShould respect the point of law
\nCreation is Miraculous
\nMurdering shows a flaw
