Joylessness
\nAnd unhappiness
\nIt tends to be around
\nEnervation heartache
\nAs all of us have found
\nAnd I do mean everyone
\nWhere ever they now be
\nOppression of the spirit
\nLeads on to misery<\/p>\n
Life today is dismal
\nAnd many can succumb
\nTo the wretchedness thats out there
\nTo the exhaustion
\nThat can numb
\nThe senses and just make us feel
\nDefeated and alone
\nDownhearted and crestfallen
\nAgain we all have known<\/p>\n
These negative conclusions
\nAnd the reason is because
\nThose of us who care
\nAnd share
\nWithb a Love that always was
\nIn everybody’s hearts
\nBut can swiftly fade away
\nWhen the doldrums come a knocking
\nand they often do
\nThats when depression
\nCan take hold for all
\nIts true<\/p>\n
Life today comes with
\nA lot of difficulty
\nTaut Relations and family
\nOften make us feel
\nEspecially As we move into
\nOur autumn years
\nIn our silent moments
\nWe might shed a few tears<\/p>\n
and enter melancholias
\nSelf-pitying avenue
\nWe cast a gloomy picture
\nDown cast and down hearted too
\nWe fail to see the miracles
\nThat we are party to
\nWe lose sight of the colour
\nAnd the simplicity on view<\/p>\n
When we appear unhopeful
\nLacklustre and alone
\nSeemingky defeated
\nJust wanting to moan
\nIts a slippery slope to no where
\nProphets of doom are we
\nForgetting the part of our life
\nThats good
\nWhere we want to be<\/p>\n
The smile on a sick childs face
\nWhen Her puppy dog comes by
\nsomeone who you have brought back to life
\nWho for many months did sadly lie
\nWhite as a sheet and sickening
\nBut with your love and care
\nThey are sitting up and smiling
\nAnd are glad that you are there<\/p>\n
A fine blue sky above us
\nThe carroling of a thrush
\nThe green leaves all a flutter
\nAutumn’s cooling blush
\nThe sunlight on your favourite tree
\nA poem from the bard
\nA song you like and often play
\nAnd when you do work hard<\/p>\n
And you feel as though you were valued
\nWhen you think its worth a smile
\nIn your head at the moment
\nAnd probably for a while
\nYour heart bleeds for so many
\nSleep becomes a chore
\nEating you cant be bothered
\nLife you just ignore<\/p>\n
Remember you do have memories
\nGood ones amongst the bad
\nWhen the children were growing up
\nOfcourse you have felt sad
\nBut you had the inner fight in you
\nA nurse a special soul
\nYou know the organic nature
\nOf each patient and your role
\nHas always been to care for them
\nTo share a smile or two
\nAnd you see the response you get
\nThat strength you have in you<\/p>\n
You really are an angel
\nAn angels often will
\nFind despondency and cheerlessness
\nBut better than a pill
\nYour hand in theres
\nSo cherished
\nAgain that inner you
\nIts your commitment your ancestral bond
\nAnd really what you do<\/p>\n
For others is help to draw their pain
\nIts not done from adversity
\nIt might become a strain
\nBut you are made of sound stuff
\nYour live in harmony
\nLove is what you emanate
\nYour sage authority<\/p>\n
You have that effervescence
\nAbout you mindful to
\nEverything around you
\nYou one of the few
\nHopelessness continues
\nTo knock upon your door
\nBut you are on the mountainside
\nLooking at the farthest shore<\/p>\n
All those innermost feelings
\nAre a big part of the whole
\nIts easier to hang your head
\nBut you are in control
\nYour have emotional intelligence
\nAnd are conscious of it too
\nAnd I feel your inspiration
\nIts just bursting out of you<\/p>\n
Ofcourse the angst and agony
\nComes by to say goodday
\nBut look in that mirror of yours
\nAnd to those words you say
\nYes I endure hardship
\nYes I do feel woe
\nBut with all the enchantment
\nAround me
\nAnd the wonderment on show<\/p>\n
I can make it I can break this spell
\nI dont need the clinical stuff
\nWhat my mother gave me
\nReally made me tough
\nLook at the finer detail
\nOf a leaf upon a tree
\nThat although most do not notice it
\nIt has such complexity<\/p>\n
See everything in good light
\nYour worthy and its true
\nYou are a healing angel
\nThat is what you do
\nAll angels have a bad time
\nTheir wings get tangled fast
\nBut you my dear are special
\nAnd you were made to last<\/p>\n
