Existing and enduring
\nEssentially it be
\nTangible and visible
\nJust how a tree should be
\nA symbol of great beauty
\nWhere imagination bloom
\nDeep down ingrained with spirit
\nWhere its right to assume
\nLive creatures big and small
\nAnd insects in their prime
\nWhere Squirrels and wood pigeons
\nAlso pass their time<\/p>\n
Branches every which way
\nLeaves that twist and turn
\nSparkling in the autumn sun
\nLooking we can learn
\nA phase of relaxation
\nA visualizers dream
\nIt really brings a state of mind
\nThat just would never seem<\/p>\n
To be possible a creativeness
\nSurrounding every thought
\nThis living breathing wondrous friend
\nIs seldom overrought
\nClimbing ever skywards
\nAnd drawing from the earth
\nAnd mingling with the funghi
\nWho also feel its worth<\/p>\n
Its bark resists all comers
\nThe rain the wind the hail
\nIts stands their its my sentry
\nWith it I cannot fail
\nTo write whatever thoughts
\nCome to me
\nEvery single day
\nThis beech tree is spectacular
\nIn every single way<\/p>\n
It colours its identity
\nIts there for all to see
\nBut passers by they just pass on by
\nIts image frantically
\nChanging with each moment
\nAs the wind taunts and creates
\nA kaleidescope of wonder
\nAnd one sees and radiates<\/p>\n
A smorgasbord of eye bling
\nSporadic ever changing
\nA chorus of great harmonies
\nAlways ever ranging
\nAn all embracing figure
\nProudly standing strong
\nNothing is going to phase it
\nBecause it does belong<\/p>\n
To where it stands
\nAnd what it stands for
\nIts oxygen it shares
\nOfferring shade and shelter
\nThis tree of mine just cares
\nIts eminence is obvious
\nIt filters light all day
\nIts dazzling its effulgent
\nIn every conceivable way<\/p>\n
Topaz amber mustard
\nColours spring to mind
\nMarigold just to behold
\nAnd infact underlined
\nCherry lips and scarlet
\nFlushed and blushed with glow
\nAnd at night it turns to sable
