Vast cattle stations dotted
\nAround Australia they
\nOccupy some 20,000 cattle
\nSome would say
\n370,000 acres
\nAn immensity of space
\nIn the Northern Territories
\nWhere many a cow they chase<\/p>\n
And its done by Helicopter
\nAnd, the quad bikes they
\nAlong with horses at the end
\nCan drive them anyway
\nThey want to and they fly low
\nIts clearly hairy stuff
\nyou need a lot of flying hours
\nAnd ofcourse a lot of puff<\/p>\n
What gets to me these people
\nHave clearly loads of dough
\nThey know how to use water
\nWith all that stock
\nYou know
\nMethane is a bugger too
\nWith climate change about
\nAnd all those cattle farting
\nI mean whats there to doubt<\/p>\n
With water being wasted
\nLike crazy everywhere
\nFracking into millions of gallons
\nI despair
\nand the meat trade
\nUp there with them wasters
\ni can say
\nThey blame the poor old kangaroo
\nWho hasnt a lot to say<\/p>\n
He has been around for 60,000 years
\nSoft feet he’s good
\nA ruminant but no methane
\nDesigned well and he could
\nLick himself all over to
\nCool himself and make
\nHis intake of water
\nLess he is no fake<\/p>\n
But grey suit politicians
\nThey have a good idea
\nWhoever lobbies hardest
\nThey are the ones they hear
\nFarmers get their handouts
\nAdani gets the coal
\nQueensland does the fracking
\nAnd loses its sweet soul<\/p>\n
AUstralia gives free rein
\nTo shooters in the dark
\nAnd anyone without a brain
\nWho wants to make their mark
\nAlready we see the bows and arrows
\nThe shotguns and the rest
\nTaking out our favourite friend
\nWho really is the best<\/p>\n
The Meat trade makes its money
\nThe murder trade they be
\nAll those cattle are shipped from Darwin
\nAnd freemantle we see
\nAnd hear their gentle lowing
\nAll knowing in the end
\nThe one who gets the blame for all of this
\nOur KAnga friend<\/p>\n

\nWere tucked up in the ether

\nThey think they have the answers
\nShoot the kangaroo
