Glorious Fruition
\nYou can feel it in your soul
\nEverything is glowing
\nThe final harvests role
\nGifts from all that labour
\nShared by everyone
\nAll of us the mouse the squirrel
\nAnd the autumn sun<\/p>\n
And equal day and an equal night
\nRenewal and rebirth
\nAll are readying for Winter
\nAnd the sleeping earth
\nThe goddess and the weakening sun
\nher fire burns deep inside
\nShe knows the god is present
\nBut still prefers to hide<\/p>\n
The vine reminds us that our work
\nIn some ways is like a prayer
\nAnd by putting our back into each task
\nWe will benefit and share
\nThats the celtic tree idea
\nIt represents the swan
\nAnd sacrifice of a noble kind
\nFor the good of all upon<\/p>\n
From now on we begin
\nTo enter into the unseen
\nA quiet time in the season
\nA general lack of green
\nThe golds,and the rich crimsons
\nOrange and purple, they
\nOccupy the palette of the artist
\nSo to say<\/p>\n
The leaves will begin falling
\nAnd become moisture driven, they
\nWill rot down and bring new life
\nTo every brand new day
\nWe may decorate our altars
\nWith acorns and oak sprigs
\nEars of corn wheat stalks
\nFruits and nuts
\nAnd figs<\/p>\n
Perhaps a little basket for gathering
\nSeeds and pods
\nGrains and fruits and vegetables
\nAll gifts of the gods
\nBaked squash good and heartening
\nCorn bread and some beans
\nI love the Autumn Equinox
\nWith its ever changing scenes<\/p>\n
On the 30th the ivy takes over
\nFrom the vine
\nFlowering in October
\nWhen its pale green flowers
\nWill shine
\nIt offers valuable shelter
\nTo wild birds
\nThat wish to stay
\nIt emanates From our mother
\nProviding nectar all the way<\/p>\n
For butterflies a banquet
\nOf sweetness to be hold
\nBacchus wore an ivy crown
\nAnd poets too are sold
\nOn ivy crowns they
\nrepresent vitality abroad
\nAnd since it is the tree of choice
