The waves the palm fronds
\nParadise for some
\nI do expect
\nA great whale a great humpback
\nA baleen
\nI detect<\/p>\n
Its karma to be present
\nAmong the human soul
\nAt Ponta do Ouro
\nMozambique
\nUnder their control<\/p>\n
It happened before
\nAlmost a year ago
\nIn Beira where
\nAnother whale
\nDied tragically
\nOne that they did tow
\nOut into the ocean
\nBut sadly for this soul
\nDecided although it was still alive
\nThat it well couldnt go<\/p>\n
Back from whence it came
\nAnd so samples were taken they
\nRemoved parts of its being
\nAnd allowed humans to pay
\nTheir respect by butchering it
\nHuman vultures came
\nTearing strips off this poor soul
\nMy heart it does inflame<\/p>\n
They were never starving
\nTo mutilate and leave
\nBlubber and flesh strewn everywhere
\nWhat does that achieve
\nThe sharks will feel
\nAggrieved I am sure
\nBut then really who cares
\nScience has got its samples
\nAnd the vultures will say their prayers<\/p>\n
Humanity is being smothered
\nIn an ocean of regret
\nThere seems a lack of pity
\nCompassion hasnt set
\nA fair course in my opinion
\nWe persecute we do
\nWe all just want our pound of flesh
