The beautiful scallops
\nThe shells we know
\nThat live their lives
\nIn the sea below
\nOne part coral
\nOne part white
\nBut disregarded and out of sight<\/p>\n
Of the would be fishermen
\nThe so called cooks
\nThe wide consumers
\nThe great cook books<\/p>\n
Everyone wants them
\nThey are on TV
\nScallops for breakfast
\nScallops for tea<\/p>\n
And where do they come from
\nNobody cares
\nDown on the sea bed
\nSaying their prayers<\/p>\n
For the fisherman hordes
\nThey draw their swords
\nFrench and britsh
\nSmoke bombs to the fore
\nThey argue the toss
\nAnd go to war<\/p>\n
But few are aware
\nOf down below
\nwhere their bloody dredgers go
\nA whole new world
\nOf living souls
\nCreative beings
\nWith special roles
\nLots of young fish
\nWill be big one day
\nBut not if the fisherman
\nGet their way<\/p>\n
Dredge up everything
\nKill it all
\nCreativity
\nToo much to call
\nMurder and mayhem
\nDown below
\nWhere life goes on
\nBut they dont know<\/p>\n
Its called the sea bottom
\nOr the bed
\nAlive with creatures
\nAnd then all dead
\nAnd why is this
\nCreativity
\nMiraculous life
\nWhy cant it be?
\nCos We want scallops
\nFor our tea
\nFuck everything else
\nWhat they cant see<\/p>\n
They won’t care about anymore

\nNobody cares not any more
