The bottom of the barrel
\nIs where Iceland now finds
\nIts whalers and their dregs of sin
\nClearly they have minds
\nAkin to sewers actually
\nFor Murderers they be
\nHarpooning fin whales
\nAnd today a blue hybrid
\nAs we see<\/p>\n
A mother blue and father fin
\nBoth endangered whales
\nThe ingratitude of being
\nSo culpable which pales
\nBeyond belief of anyone
\nWho lives a sentient life
\nThese whalers are true spivvery
\nDesigned to cause us strife<\/p>\n
Dragging us back behind their ships
\nFor everyone to see
\nIncluding the whale watchers
\nWho seem apparently
\nHappy to see us dying whilst
\nOur friends are swimming by
\nTasting the semblance of our blood
\nAs we slowly die<\/p>\n
With all the raucous seabirds
\nGoing mad to try
\nAnd taste our dying blubber
\nWhale watching crews who try
\nTo look the other way ofcourse
\nTheir embarrassed and some shocked
\nAnd so another hybrid whale
\nThe ocean depths are rocked<\/p>\n
We are so very rare
\nAnd therefore why they want catch
\nAny of us actually
\nHunting in our patch
\nHarpooning us giving us agony and more
\nEvery day two more are killed
\nThis LOFTSSon is at war<\/p>\n
Its unfitting and inappropriate
\nDiscriminatory too
\nAnd his government turns a blind eye
\nAnd I am told a lot of you
\nTourists going to iceland
\nDemand they say to eat
\nMinke whale which is why they sail
\nAnd also catch the treat<\/p>\n
Of killing us the fin whale
\nFor the fluke meat we
\nHave and the japanese diners like
\nAnd our best belly
\nThe rest is for the dog food
\nOr basically thrown away
\nICeland is an arrogmat nation
