A drought affects us all
\nAnd business suffers most
\nAnything to do with the land
\nCan drive profits to toast
\nIts not just drought if any major mishap
\nDoes occur
\nWhere cessation makes us suffer
\nAnd losses we incur<\/p>\n
Where times are hard
\nAll business takes a hit its true
\nBut do we stand with our begging bowl
\nExpecting folk to do
\nThe good thing fill our pot up
\nNo we have to try
\nAnd get through all these hard times
\nThen we quietly have a cry<\/p>\n
Farmers have an attitude
\nAnd the government of the day
\nKnow the power of lobbyists
\nThey are always in the way
\nOf scoundrels if the truth be known
\nWho are paid to suck up to
\nThe all powerful when it comes to it
\nDoing what they do<\/p>\n
If you are into cattle ranching
\nAssistance is on hand.
\nsupport ofcourse and charity
\nwe are told to understand
\nThough everyone is suffering
\nThe farmers they are seen
\nTo be suffering much more terribly
\nI think that is mean!<\/p>\n
Loss is loss its general
\nAverage across the board
\nEveryone gives something
\nWhatever they can afford
\nGeneral loss or average
\nAn insurance term
\nBut hand out to the farmers
\nIt really makes me squirm<\/p>\n
They all chose Their business
\nThey get hand outs all the time
\nAny case that comes along
\nWhether they have a rhyme
\nOr reason derogations are
\nGiven thats for sure
\nThey always get the sympathy vote
\nAnd a whole lot more<\/p>\n
They are in the killing trade
\nThe ozone destroying creed
\nTheir cattle damage the outback
\nAnti biotics and feed
\nAre plyed off by these farmers
\nIt is a wasteful trade
\nWasting vast amounts of water
\nOn their heads its laid<\/p>\n
Every moan is listened to
\nThey even have the right
\nTo shoot our beloved kangaroos
\nGun them down on sight
\nJust because they are natives
\nThey lose their rights to be
\nAlive and kicking and picking
\nTheir place in eternity<\/p>\n
Give a leg up and lend a hand
\nWe all are asked to try
\nThey work on splendid margins
\n4 by 4 ‘s and why
\nThose giving some dont have a car
\nBut no matter give and give
\nThe meat trade is the murder trade
\nLets help the farmers live<\/p>\n
The high life let them struggle
\nEveryone does that
\nWe all go through the hard times
\nWith no money on our mat
\nWe just all tighten our belts a bit
\nEat less and knuckle down
\nBut the ranchers they are after
\nA magnanimous crown
\nFrom every wretched corner
\nSo tHey can have their way.
\nSo they can carry on murdering
\nThe cattle day
\nBy day<\/p>\n
Poisoning the precious crops
\nWasting water wide
\nSo much to make a pound of beef
\nWe are taken for a ride
\nThere are better ways of producing
\nProtein thats for sure
\nBut ranchers cannot see that
\nThe truths they all ignore<\/p>\n
Drought is down to nature
\nAnd man should stop and think
\nThe water that we have on earth
\nWe waste, some on the brink
\nOf disaster countries much worse off
\nThan Australia but we
\nWaste so much in our fracking
\nAnd farming industry<\/p>\n
And then when theres a problem
\nIts a bail out and the poor
\nAre expected to be selfless
\nNo one can ignore
\nThe cries from out of the outback
\nThe helicopter crowd
\nTheir vast land resources
\nThat really makes them proud<\/p>\n
That gets them thinking live exports
\nAnd the contracts that are made
\nThats another killing and its the torture trade
\nAll the hand outs given freely
\nAnd where do the cattle go
\nLive exports added terror as the
\nProfit margins grow<\/p>\n
But do we get a hand out
\nA share in all that wealth
\nWe hear about the torturing
\nAnd the effects on the animals health
\nWe hear about the terror the voyages into hell
\nUnfed and un watered and the unbelievable smell
\nOf animals cooked whilst standing
\nAnd this is what we do
\nAs soon as we hear them moaning about the drought
\nThen all of you<\/p>\n
Are expected to dive into pockets
\nTo be their true mainstay
\nForgetting all the negatives
\nThat hang around each day
\nJust help them to top up their margins
\nAnd help us spread goodwill
