We have lost all respect
\nFor the natural world
\nFor our forests and oceans
\nWhere so much is hurled<\/p>\n
Forests are logged out
\nSlash and burned down
\nAnd the timber sold off
\nWill not earn us a crown<\/p>\n
The water thats lost
\nFrom intact forests will
\nGuarantee vasts stocks
\nReally until<\/p>\n
The end of time
\nIts short sighted to log
\nPalm oil production
\nClearly a fog<\/p>\n
Descended on magnates
\nOn the rich hood winked louts
\nWho defended their balance sheet
\nBut now there are doubts<\/p>\n
Not creeping but rushing in
\nWater is life
\nWithout it the people have
\nMasses of strife<\/p>\n
Cities will crumble
\nWhen timber is torn
\nFor all intact forests
\nStill treated with scorn<\/p>\n
Will come back to bite us
\nOur children no doubt
\nWill remember our arrogance
\nAnd how we did flout<\/p>\n
The miracle forests
\nLife giving rain
\nStored in their roots
\nA Great value gain<\/p>\n

So many advantages
\noxygen too
\nSo water and air
\nSo what do we do<\/p>\n
Chop down the trees
\nLay concrete instead
\nAnd watch as more of us
\nIn future lay dead<\/p>\n
We will fight over water
\nThat we waste all the time
\nThe frackers their backers
\nAre creatures of slime<\/p>\n
Wasting a resource
\nThat our children will need
\nTo pile up their bank notes
\nAnd think they succeed<\/p>\n
So they made it on timber
\nAnd they made it on frack
\nBut in ten years or so
\nThere will be no way back<\/p>\n
Waters true value
\nFar exceeds wood
\nWhen out in the outback
\nWood is no good<\/p>\n
But water will save you
\nKeep you alive
\nWithout it none of us
\nCould ever survive<\/p>\n
Trees give us air
\nAnd give us water too
\nWithout them
\nConcrete well
\nIt may cover you<\/p>\n
