A 69 year old man was
\nIndicted we hear
\nFor neglecting his animals
\nAnd it was clear
\nBe wasnt too well
\nAnd Wholesale larceny
\nTook his mind off
\nThe farm which should never be<\/p>\n
His animals sufffered
\nNeglect and cruelty
\nClearly not fed properly
\nAnd their mortality
\nNot written up
\nHis farm in a mess
\nA calf with a broken leg
\nUnder such stress
\nAnd clearly he knew
\nBut decided that he
\nWould ignore the issue
\nWhich does seem to me
\nTerribly ignorant
\nPain like this must
\nCause immense suffering
\nAnd does disgust<\/p>\n
A cow with a rope
\nEmbedded again
\nCausing aggravation
\nAnd a lot of pain
\nBut clearly neglected
\nNobody cared
\nAnimals suffer
\nAnd have to be spared<\/p>\n
A build up of feces
\nAnd maggots galore
\nThis poor cows suffering
\nWas clearly awful
\nOne bull was starving
\nWith wounds that looked sore<\/p>\n
Burglars and vandals
\nWere clearly drawn there
\nNeglect draws the negatives
\nBeing aware
\nOf ones animals
\nAnd keeping boundaries intact
\nAnd bushes all cut
\nThis is a fact<\/p>\n
Animal welfare
\nIt must be addressed
\nFlagrant dereliction
\nIt will always test
\nThe aura around places
\nPossibly they
\ngo from worse to worse
\nThats when we all pay<\/p>\n
Peter was told he would never be
\nAble to keep animals
\nAnd He could see
\nThe reason he did get a lifetime ban
\nWas he just couldnt cope
\nLife had gone down the pan<\/p>\n
The terrible tragedy
\nFrom this affair
\nAll of the animals
\nWere killed that does scare
\nMe 250 the government vet
\nKilled everyone
\nNow that was a debt<\/p>\n
And it all came about
\nOver neglect of a farm
\nAnd the animals there
\nAll coming to harm
\nBurglars and vandals
\nOf course made it worse<\/p>\n
Farmers are telling us
\nIts like a curse
\nThe police dont turn up
\nWhen you are out of town
\nAnd if you cant cope
\nThey put everything down<\/p>\n
Its a tragic tale
\nOf an old man who tried
\nTo look after his herd
\nBut alas they all died
\nWhat broke hus back
\nThe continuous crime
\nAnd his age and his illness
\nMeant he couldnt climb<\/p>\n
One has to feel sorry
\nIts a tale of woe
\nAnd regret very much
\nThat his cattle did go
\nHalf eating plastic
\nIt does make one think
\nAnd really no where
