\nFor them its the way

They are commercial pirates

\nSnub any reason to stand in their way
\nThey will not be browbeaten
\nAnd the tragedy here
\nIs the whales are the scapegoats

These beautiful mountains
\nThat breathe the same air
\nThat sing to the heavens

Are slaughtered for coming

The fin whale is huge

Their meat is not eaten
\nIn Iceland today
\nIt has to be frozen
\nAnd then shipped away
\nTo Japan or To Norway
\nFor thats where it goes

\nAnd japan isnt eating whale much

\nTheir restaurants are open

\nAre selling a lot of whale meat

But not to the locals
\nThat market has died
\nFor us animals rights
\nThere is no place to hide

\nWho just want to try
\nAnd eat whale when they come

The whalers take that stance
\nBelieving that they
\nAre good for the tourist trade
\nThats what they say
\nFor me its hard to get my head around this
\nBut the tourists are eating whales
\nAnd say they would miss<\/p>\n

\nStopped so they carry on
\nAn excuse to be
\nMurdering whales

Rooms to the freezers
\nAnd there they will stay
\nBuilding costs and reducing the margins each day
\nBut nobody cares
\nIts their right to be free
\nAnd make their decisions
\nAnd remain happy<\/p>\n

\nAgain that could stifle

Iceland wont agree
\nThat fin numbers are low
\nThey want to kill more
\nThough the markets are slow
\nUnless they are hoping for China

They are after respect

\nThey believe they can carry on
\nKilling the whales

Clearly the government
\nHas gone too far
\nThey are base hypocrites
\nThats what they are
\nHow can you trust people

These hunters are wizened
\nCancerous souls

And if humpbacks are next
\nWhat are we to do
\nIf we just become tourists

Instead of their life force

\nThey will all be chopped up
