It was just a wee wood
\nWith a lushness galore
\nWith all sorts of trees
\nAnd wild flowers and more
\nSome old hazel hedging
\nAnd brambles to tear
\nA brook and a stream
\nSuch a sweet grove to share<\/p>\n
Several goddess trees
\nThe alder of old
\nLoving the river
\nOn water its sold
\nA carpet of purple
\nAnd orbs oft around
\nWhere so many birches
\nOf silver are found
\nbringers of promise
\nNot wanting less
\nMy lady a witch
\nAnd in truth I confess
\nSuch an enchanting spirit
\nAnd no brighter mind
\nAnd of course at their feet
\nFly agaric we find<\/p>\n
Lady of the wood
\nThats the birch all aglow
\nWith her silvery bark
\nNew beginnings they flow
\nSo very creative
\nA positive sign
\nIn her cottage surrounded
\nBy everything fine
\nThe 14 th day of august
\nThat be opportune
\nTen days before
\nThe most amazing tune
\nThat rings through out the branches
\nA splendid refrain
\nFrom the solar eclipse
\nAnd that dance in the rain<\/p>\n
In the warmth of her cottage
\nA wood burning stove
\nA beautifully tiled hearth
\nHer besom she drove
\nLinked with the water
\nClose to the brook
\nWhere the spirits resided
\nAnd would often look
\nThey loved the shelter
\nTheir watery air
\nThe first ogham tree
\nSo Bold and aware
\nIn the light of the moon
\nThey blaze to the sky
\nAnd my glorious friend
\nShe just understands why<\/p>\n
When she sits in her window
\nBrushing her hair
\nEach sable strand
\nMy lady is fair
\nHer life giving qualities
\nFor to admire
\nAnd her warm path to wisdom
\nHeld fast in her fire
\nIn the wee wood
\nNymphs of the blue
\nDance in sweet halo’s
\nAnd wet with the dew
\nDescend just like faeries
\nTo peep and to be
\nCreating an aura
\nAnd an alchemy<\/p>\n
Seeing her robed up
\nIn that awesome green
\nWith her hat and her jewellery
\nShe is a queen
\nIn the wee wood
\nHer feyness is there
\nWith all the brook spirits
\nAround her to share
\nAn astral embrace
\nAnd to be by her side
\nIn her cauldron of care
\nWhere peace does reside
\nHer books and her spells
\nAnd her shadows I share
\nIn the wee wood
