\nAnd what has all that cost<\/p>\n
Taiji, an ex whaling town
\nTook to murdering dolphins they
\nDrive them, with disorientation
\nIn an agonising way
\nFrowned on by so many
\nIts torturous and sad
\nWhole pods really whole family trees
\nAre murdered<\/p>\n
Where is god?<\/p>\n
Children all around the world
\nAsk
\nIts so hard to say
\nThese dolphins are already
\nPolluted and the way
\nWe torture and enslave them
\nIts so wicked and unfair
\nAnd for BROOME to cuddle up to them
\nYou would ask are they aware?<\/p>\n
Is it a miscalculation
\nA lack of vision there
\nWhy offer them your favouritism
\nIt just seems unfair
\nAUstralia is most put out
\nBy Japan still whaling on
\nAnd at Taiji too the carnage
\nAnd the cruelty they don<\/p>\n
The pithing it is dreadful
\nWe are talking about sweet souls
\nIntelligent as the day is long
\nWho carry out their roles
\nThe matriarchs are teaching
\nTheir children everyday
\nGreat tribes of learning dolphins
\nMurdered in this way<\/p>\n
That BROOME continues its love affair
\nGives them browny points for sure
\nThey snub the likes of all of us
\nAnd they just kill more and more
\n2009 for about eight weeks
\nThey decided to withdraw
\nThe Japanese were beside themselves
\nThey really did abhor<\/p>\n
The decision to withdraw support
\nAnd whatever they did do
\nBRoome just lost their marbles
\nAnd went back as clueless to
\nThe murdering for it carried on
\nLive broadcasts every day
\nSea shepherd giving live feeds
\nAnd so many souls did pay<\/p>\n
Its truly narrow-mindedness
\nIts parochial I feel
\nMisjudging snd misconceiving
\nDogmatically but its still all very real
\nSo much true frustration
\nWhatever the warriors do
\nCove guardians and activists
\nWe are left looking at the blue<\/p>\n
Water around Taiji
\nTurning a bright red
\nWith the sinew of the families
\nMany of them dead
\nSome its true are captured
\nAnd sold off to the world
\nEnslaving them forever
\nInto the deserts hurled<\/p>\n
Many have gone to the arab states
\nTo live under the sun
\nIn their tiny bath tub homes
\nReally under done
\nLiving on the dead fish
\nDosed up with pills they be
\nTo live perhaps half of the life
\nThey would have lived if free<\/p>\n
Taiji’s attempt at zen
\nIs bigoted and wrong
\nThey profit from the sale of wild souls
\nThat did not belong
\nTo them these really amazing beasts
\nWho freely roam the sea
\nAre captors or are victims
\nOf the folk from yes Taiji<\/p>\n
To me your base naivete
\nIts heart wrenching and I
\nHaving watched the ocean creatures
\nFor many years I try
\nWhereever to protect them
\nTo study their lives of grace
\nTo object to those who harm them
\nAnd view them with disgrace<\/p>\n
I am targeting you councillors
\nHoping you will see
\nThe ignorance thats manifest
\nBack their now in Taiji
\nThey are earning from whale watching
\nFrom the torture and the pain
\nAnd they are slaughtering whole families
\nAnd its happening again<\/p>\n
They are buying fins from Iceland
\nGoing against the grain
\nSuperimposing aggression
\nOn the IWC the strain
\nFor those of us around the world
\nHopeful we can try
\nAnd reverse the killing
\nIts unscholarly
\nThat still so many die<\/p>\n

\nA great height of absurdity
\nThere is no logic none at all
\nFor us its just futility
\nThey really are aggressive
\nDespite the pollution they
