Aida doesn’t get much
\nof a helping hand
\nnothing about her in the lifts
\nwhich I fail to understand
\nno promotion on the tables
\nor in the Siroccho bar
\nnothing in the foyer
\nwhen this women is a star
\nshe belts her heart out
\nevery night
\nher passion it shines through
\nsometimes a small audience
\nsometimes to one or two
\nbut does that curtail her emotion
\nnot a bit of it
\nShe’s out there in the spotlight
\nand she has to pit
\nherself against the football
\nthe huge great Astro screen
\nbut she does it happily
\nand to me the hotel’s mean
\nthey do not see that someone
\nwho gives her all to try
\nand encourage people to the bar
\nneeds support, which is now why
\nI do my best with words in rhyme
\nto support this lovely soul
\nits one thing to get paid you know
\nits another to fill the role
\nAnd Aida does it wonderfully
\nshe brings tears to my eyes
\nShe’s always turned out beautifully
\nwhich some fail to realise
\nto the Management of Holiday Inn
\nthis message is for you
\nyou have somebody special here
\nand therefore you must do
\nsomething more to help her
\ngive her a helping hand
\nshe gives you, her heart and soul
\nis it so hard to understand
\na promotion in the lift at least
\nand in the foyer too
\nperhaps a complimentary drink
