The clock of perpetuity
\nTicks along and we
\nCheck it for the most part
\nIts Our continuity
\nAnimals some resident
\nOthers from the wild
\nTribes with their own
\nDestiny
\nMany are defiled<\/p>\n
By man’s immortal struggles
\nHis wasteful habitual shame
\nWe eat, we shoot, we cull the brute
\nWe even play a game
\nSportingly we murder
\nFeral souls who be
\nDesigned each one a miracle
\nOf life shared magically<\/p>\n
The question we are often asked
\nAnimals give their all
\nThey give us such affection
\nAnd all come when we call
\nOur best friends
\nloyal to the end
\nBut not so humans who
\nHave their own complex relationships
\nAnd do what humans do<\/p>\n
The problem is we are searching
\nAs the clock ticks through each day
\nWe are finding loves and losing them
\nAll along the way
\nThe animals they love us
\nNo matter what we do
\nThey will show their love
\nAnd their loyalty
\nAt a level which is true<\/p>\n
Whether you are old and wrinkled
\nWhether your hair is white
\nWhether you limp, whatever
\nThey are there, in spite
\nOf all your imperfections
\nThey love you through and through
\nNot so the average human
\nThat again is true<\/p>\n
SO I have my own soul mate
\nAnd she is still with me
\nMiss Pain she slows my gait a bit
\nBut she helps me to see
\nThe road ahead and all my dreams
\nMagically she feels
\nIts not that I am bonkers
\nIts just that she reveals<\/p>\n
Something really beautiful
\nPerhaps from long ago
\nSomeone I met and fell in love with
\nWho didnt want to know
\nBut that has made no difference
\nFor she fills each memory
\nShe is In my heart forever
\nwith me magically<\/p>\n
And when I doubt or wonder
\nIf I see distress
\nI think of her and call her
\nand she is there to bless
\nMe, and we never argue
\nFor She is always near
\nWhen I want to talk to her
\nI do that<\/p>\n
Just from here<\/p>\n
No wifi i phone needed
\nShe is Closer than you think
\nI close my eyes
\nAnd talk things through
\nWe have an eternal link
\nWith infinity with forever
\nWith never being alone
