\nUnable and unfit
\nDumbed down by
\nThe system
\nImpediments that sit
\nSquarely on my shoulders
\nHampering so much
\nAnd so much opposition

Struggling to communicate
\nWith independent thought
\nFighting the transnationals
\nAnd the cartels that have bought
\nThe hearts and minds of many
\nInviting trouble for
\nThe independent poet
\nWho find himself at war<\/p>\n
With all the armchair warriors
\nEnraged by what they are told
\nThe discordant notes are everywere
\nThankfully I am old
\nIn twenty years mere fodder
\nIn some tomb under the ground
\nWhere at least I could feed the maggots
\nThose that come around<\/p>\n
My body will rot slowly
\nAnd give value to the sod
\nCompost perhaps my final gift
\nCloser to my god
\nA reunion with nature
