\nAre about the endangered Vaquita
\nA porpoise being caught
\nIn these nets and thrown away
\nFish Maw soup supposed to
\nImprove fertility
\nAnd for this the chinese
\nAre prepared to pay<\/p>\n
20,000 dollars a kilo presently
\nThe fishermen are in it now and they
\nWill do anything
\nillegal or not
\nFor Gillnet fishing laid at night
\nApparently does pay<\/p>\n
When cornered they dont care about
\nThe Vaquita
\nThey care about their livelihoods
\nfor they
\nAre, supposedly starving
\nand this is why they are doing this
\nIts a trial of strength
\nThat is worsening by the day<\/p>\n
Oona appears to have
\nEncouraged the Mexican Navy
\nTo get involved and to help
\nThe Vaquita’s case
\nThere may now only be about 40 of
\nThem left
\nIts something that the world at large
\nMust face<\/p>\n
Interestingly enough before the Totoaba
\nThe Yellow Croaker was a fish in use

Vietnam sends tons and tons to S.Korea
\nSo why risk the Vaquita anyway
\nTo me the Chinese market is apparently
\nConned easily
\nAnd illegality appears in play<\/p>\n
It must be with the connivance
\nof the Chinese
\nOtherwise a loss of face
\nwould be
\nBut this is causing a diplomatic incident
\nAnd putting the crew at risk
\nit seems to me<\/p>\n
It really is a tricky situation
\nCutting gillnets
\neven, with the navy there
\nTheres clearly double dealing here
\nIts an impasse if you ask me

The Vaquita and the by-catch
\nA dilemma
\nCaught up in what is another con
\nIts intractable behaviour
\nPerplexing and obscure
\nDifficult to countenance
\nAnd tragically may lure<\/p>\n
Even more adversity for Oona
\nRetrieving nets is dangerous
\nOne can say
\nMafia money is clearly in the offing
\nAnd Sea Shepherd could be
\nKind of in the way.<\/p>\n
Dropping gillnets that kill bycatch
\nin the process
\nAnd the vaquita
\nis an endangered porpoise that
\nIs being killed
\nand its body just disposed of
\nAnd thats whats brought sea shepherd
\nTo where they are at<\/p>\n
Ignorance and arrogance could be the cause
