Our ancient paths to water
\nOur habitat our way
\nIs being lost forever
\nAnd for all of this we pay
\nIt is a continual struggle
\nAnd our sorrows are our own
\nOur despondency and misery
\nReally it has grown<\/p>\n
Electric fences everywhere
\nBoundaries that curtail
\nOur freedom to find water
\nThere is many a trail
\nNow cut off from the elephants
\nIts hostile and its wrong
\nAnd many of us are dying
\nBecause we dont belong<\/p>\n
Too many of you humans
\nWant farming land and we
\nAre hated we can feel that
\nBut then we wanted to be
\nWhere creation put us
\nIts calamitous we know
\nWith so many of us dying
\nAnd the trouble is you know<\/p>\n
Ten of us in this region
\nLast year alone was bad
\nWe dont agree with boundaries
\nWe are wild and free its sad
\nTo be upon this wretched world
\nWhere humans rule the land
\nSuch distress we are having
\nAnd you fail to understand<\/p>\n
But then you are supremacy
\nYour governance of power
\nElectric fences everywhere
\nMore and more and now
\nOur water trails our mineral paths
\nAre cut off and so we
\nMust turn around and realise
\nThere is no where we can be<\/p>\n
Escept locked in your temples
\nOn begging on the street
\nOr working in the forests
\nOn killed for extra meat
\nUs elephants are suffering
\nFrom the great human disease
\nAdversity adversity
\nFor you life is a breeze<\/p>\n
Everywhere is rigor
\nThe strong hand and the rest
\nIt just all feels like tyranny
\nAnd seemingly its best
\nThat each of us break down the fences
\nAnd some of us we know
\nWill die we know the answer
\nWe are just out of the flow<\/p>\n
Needs must and the necessity
\nWe are under your duress
\nHabitat is being lost
\nAnd we are getting stress
\nEverywhere we look these days
\nOur defiance seems to be
\nLost on you lot
\nThats for sure
\nAnd for us yes tragically<\/p>\n
There is no such thing as freedom
\nYou have taken that away
\nUnattached and fancy free
\nNot now not today
\nWe are confined to areas
\nCorralled we bave to say
\nWhere our human charges have lost the plot
