Poached as a baby
\nA lost soul
\nNo childhood none at all
\nHer spiritual foundation
\nImmediately did stall
\nTrafficked into evil
\nVile captivity
\nCalled “Laxmi”
\nHindu goddess of wealth
\nand of prosperity<\/p>\n
False reasoning feels obvious
\nUntenable and unsound
\nTo call her by such an honoured name
\nAnd then to see her bound
\nFor a prison cell
\nTo be tortured to be starved
\nAnd neglected so
\nHow unbending and dogmatic
\nTo guarantee such woe<\/p>\n
A life time of concealment
\nJust hidden away
\nBehind closed doors
\nAnonymously
\nRejected so to say
\nAfflicted by such misery
\nSuch hurtfulness and pain
\nMaltreatment –
\nand oppression
\nBy the clearly insane<\/p>\n
Not an ounce of feeling
\nMaligned in every way
\nLuckless hapless stricken
\nShe was just made to pay
\nLying in pools of urine
\nImagine that and see
\nLying in clumps of dung as well
\nSuch adversity<\/p>\n
Such lackness and such slackness
\nThey surrender their control
\nKeep a poor old lady chained
\nIt really does appal
\nSuch Draconian laws of badness
\nAnd bludgeoning her too
\nShe never knew what freedom was
\nThey were rotten through and through<\/p>\n
Human beings keepers
\nOf animals who dare
\nTo coerce and constrain
\nA goddess
\nShe being so aware
\nSo loving and so caring
\nAnd condemned by them to be
\nIn chains and in shackles
\nFor an eternity<\/p>\n
Abandoned really in this life
\nResigned to cruelty
\nThey did infact destroy her
\nWith their wicked spivvery
\nFed her badly kept her dirty
\nBeat her every day
\nNiggardly and penny pinching
\nShe Never knew what play
\nWas what fresh green shoots were
\nOr the sunshine on her back
\nShe never really saw the light
\nShe was always on their rack<\/p>\n
Getting beaten daily
\nTill her bones bent with the strain
\nLacking in nutrition
\nSuffering in vain
\nNo one around to help her
\nJust those who never cared
\nWho kept her dumb and docile
\nWho really never shared<\/p>\n
A smile a pat or thoughtfulness
\nAll she ever knew
\nWas anger pique and sadness
\nThats was all life through
\nHer tearfulness was obvious
\nTo anyone who saw
\nA face stained sadly everyday
\nFilled witH blood and gore<\/p>\n
And when she died she just feel down
\nChained up shackled tight
\nHer skin was sagging legs turned inwards
\nOur eyes witnessed her plight
\nAs to the human owners
\nThey had scarpered Tragically
\nThe police should go and find them
\nAnd ensure that they never be<\/p>\n
Able to keep animals
\nSomeone must know who they
\nAre they must be found and soon
\nthere must not be a stay
\nHang the buggers by their necks
\nLets watch them dance a jig
\nThey are a blemish on this earth
\nAnd its right that we should dig<\/p>\n
A shallow grave out in the forest
\nWhere vultures can enjoy
\nTheir vile embittered bodies
\nLet their beaks employ
\nGreat wounds strips of darkness
\nLet them never be
\nParty to another life
