\nStill a one per cent death rate
\nSuch a fatality
\nIs actually much more than that
\nA thousand or so dead
\nReally this is a brutal trade
\nAnd It should be put to bed<\/p>\n
Much of what is sent
\nGoes to Kuwait
\nAnd what they do
\nIs process sheep and send them on
\nEarning it is true
\nSo why not kill the animals
\nIn Australia and send
\nTo Qatar Oman and the UAR
\nIts a trade we can’t defend<\/p>\n

\nAre about six per cent each year
\nAround 1.8 million
\nMost from WA its clear
\nIt would be far healthier
\nEither to let them be
\nUsed for wool
\nThen processed
\nAnd shipped accordingly<\/p>\n
Despite the regulations
\nSheep they suffer so
\nWe suffer on long journeys
\nIn cabins as you know
\nLoaded just like cargo
\nIn all the heat and stress
\nAnd being killed at the end of the day
\nReally who could want for less<\/p>\n

\nIn 15 days
\nMangled spoiled and injured

Heat stress it is terrible
\nThe voiceless why should they
\nIts shameful its contemptible
\nIts deplorable they pay
\nWe know they are being murdered
\nSo who cares anyway
\nWell I care and so many care
\nAnd it has to change today<\/p>\n
Let other markets do it
\nContaminate their souls
\nIts vulgar and its sordid
\nAustralia its roles
\nAre to see our standards rising
\nIts better to be straight
\nLets back regeneration
\nAnd try to re create<\/p>\n
A sea change in these exports
\nLet more green shoots grow
\nShip processed meat to markets
\nIts progressive as we know
\nKilled here in Australia
\nWhere standards are quite high
\nCompared to the way they do it
