800 or so wild swans were
\nStressed out on Saturday
\nA bulk tanker crashed into a jetty
\nAnd oil burst out they say
\n200 tons of fuel in fact
\nSpilled out what could they do
\nAll these birds got coated smothered
\nStressed out and its true<\/p>\n
They are very sensitive beings
\nAnd what oil does alas
\nIs break through all their barriers
\nAnd all these birds enmasse
\nSuffer and considerably
\nThis the MAASSLUIS oil spill
\nDespite the services helping
\nIt is bound to kill
\nMany its concerning
\nThose that came to try
\nAnd rescue them to get them cleaned
\nThe risks for them are high<\/p>\n
They need liquids because ofcourse
\nHyperthermia becomes
\nA problem and the stress it causes
\nThe whole business numbs
\nThose wanting to help them
\nThe environment suffers so
\nAnd how did the tanker hit the
\nJetty
\nIts something we need to know<\/p>\n
Swans are wonderful creatures
\nIts so sad they suffer so
\nMan just has an ugly side
\nAnd apparently it does grow
\n“No injuries reported”
\nBut what of the swans
\nYes they
\nAre suffering like crazy
\nFor them its a bad day<\/p>\n
They are worried about the scaffolding
\nAnd the ships they need to clean
\nLiving souls immersed in all of this
\nIt is obscene
\nHow they neglect the wild birds
\nOur wild life tragically
\nLets hope those cleaning the poor swans
