A grey old day was had by all
\nWindy and rather cold
\nBut despite that lots of people came
\nAnd joined our merry fold
\nA lot of nice new faces
\nAnd a number of the clan
\nFormed a perfect circle
\nAnd our ritual began<\/p>\n
Holding hands closing our eyes
\nWe all drifted away
\nGetting in touch with the energies
\nThat were obvious Sunday
\nOur Arch Druid called for peace
\nAnd the quarters were beautifully read
\nThe oak king and the holly king did battle
\nClearly shed
\nA lot of force and mayhem
\nTheir supporters cheering on
\nTil the oak king was defeated
\nAnd there he lay upon<\/p>\n
The holly king to reign supreme
\nHis magnificence all shared
\nHe really was amazing
\nWe all could see he cared
\nThe poor old oak king
\nBeaten but a maiden danced
\nAnd he
\nWas carried by 4 strong armed men
\nTo wander aimlessly<\/p>\n
The food was blessed
\nAnd handed around
\nSharing the honey mead
\nSome gorgeous sun dried apricots
\nSo our old bard could succeed
\nIn reciting his long poem
\nAs everyone took note
\nThen ofcourse the speaking stick
\nWhich always rocks his boat<\/p>\n
And despite the windy weather
\nEveryone who came
\nEntertained us with their prowess
\nAnd our hearts aflame
\nHeard a charming story
\nFrom Adam what a man
\nIt was a faery story
\nAnd We all became a fan<\/p>\n
A lady played the accordion
\nA lovely gentle air
\nIt made me wish to do a jig
\nBut ofcourse the people there
\nCould see that was nigh impossible
\nOther poems too
\nWere recited they were joyful
\nThey were honest they were true<\/p>\n
Finishing with the ho ho ho
\nCombining our energies
\nThree cheers to the sun god
\nWhich we all felt, it did please
\nFor we got a glimpse of sunlight
\nAnd left to make our way
\nJoyful for the coming solstice
\nSometime on Thursday<\/p>\n
It was really very peaceful
\nWith lots of new friends who
\nJoined us it was refreshing
\nTo do what we all do
\nTo get out in the rollright air
\nno wifi to surround
\nTo actually share some alignment
