It feels like a hopeless situation
\nAnd the ideology
\nFrom the circus
\nIsnt really lost
\nThats how it seems to me
\nArthritis is an ailment
\nThat leaves me in despair
\nWhen disappointment surfaces
\nSuch forlorn hope is there<\/p>\n
It crystallizes sadly
\nMy legs are very sore
\nJoint pain muscle pain skin pain
\nIts altogether raw
\nMy past was that of circus
\nUgly and inhumane
\nIt does leave much frustration
\nAnd its where life feels in vain<\/p>\n
Suffering is constant
\nDay and night appear
\nHumdrum and depressing
\nMonotonous such fear
\nFrom picking up on attitudes
\nThat don’t seem to endear<\/p>\n
I miss having the comfort
\nOf another ele here
\nSomeone to share my agony
\nTo rejoice a while and clear
\nThe demons from my mindset
\nThe torture and the pain
\nThe memories inflicted
\nThat haunt me yet again<\/p>\n
The joylessness the pessimism
\nMy spirit in such doubt
\nDifferent carers than the circus
\nBut seemingly about
\nHow hard to keep ones countenance
\nIt is
\nUnnerved I feel
\nExpecting so much more
\nThat I have and thus hard to conceal<\/p>\n
The despondency and the constancy
\nOf pain and lack of joy
\nLack of some light heartedness
\nThe relief one can employ
\nTo just curtail the burden
\nOf being on ones own
\nThe circus and its aura
\nSomething to disown<\/p>\n
400 or so miles away
\nIn Limousin in France
\nThere is an elephant haven
\nAnd, there was a chance
\nFor me to go and stay there
\nSome amiability
\nManna in the wilderness
\nAnd some tranquillity<\/p>\n
Perhaps my last adventure
\nNot a pipedream anymore
\nBut a sanctuary with others
\nEuphoric and whats more
\nAllowing me to rid that smell of circus
\nFrom by mind
\nWith all its dark obtuseness
\nAnd From which I can’t unwind<\/p>\n
Perhaps an air of effusiveness
\nWith an unction just to be
\nMyself again be touchy-feely
\nLyrical and free
\nFrom the humiliation
\nOf the bull hook brigade
\nThe antipathetic whispers
