\nThe importance of its worth
\nThe undeniable history
\nPlayed around Mother Earth
\nThe immortal the enduring
\nThe sum and substance we
\nShare with the perpetual
\nThe complex and the free<\/p>\n
Tangible and solid
\nGrounded everywhere
\nHeartbreaking and physical
\nThe “tarner” lets us share
\nThe rivers and the valleys
\nBecoming long ago
\na kangaroo
\nAnd then a man a totem in full flow<\/p>\n
A spiritual emblem
\nFor those of us who see
\nWho experience the wildness
\nOur responsibility
\nRe energising songlines
\nAnd dreaming tracks
\nAll found
\nAcross this varied outback
\nWhere the great roo’s do abound<\/p>\n
Leaping pounding confidently
\nFearless in their flight
\nBehold their great vibrations
\nTheir energy so bright
\nDesigned to be sufficiently
\nAble to bring the light
\nInto the world of living
\nIf not shot down at night<\/p>\n
Their toenails leaving holes
\nWhere seeds and moisture by ingression
\nThis a truly healing role
\nProviding a depression
\nAn Intrinsic quality
\nAn essentialness and balance
\nAnd a comprehensive artery<\/p>\n
We have that great connectedness
\nTheir bearing and ours does
\nShare an affilliation
\nA relevance a buzz
\nAboriginal spirit made them
\nGreat totems and they
\nentered into a spiritual bond
\nWhich is always on display<\/p>\n
Killing on the other hand
\nThat whole irrelevancy
\nthat alien discordant
\nThat mean disparity
\nRemoves the base connection
\nAnd The song lines are no more
\nThe dreaming is then misapplied
\nAnd Unlike it was before<\/p>\n
The oppositeness is relevant
\nA divergence let us say
\nThe margins they grow wider
\nAs the earth
\nHas lost its sway
\nOut of its equilibrium
\nDefective and falling short
\nMismatched and preponderate
\nSynonymous with taut<\/p>\n
With what is total arrogance
\nAn unevenness abroad
\nWhat is compensation
\ndeath is no reward
\nFor the loss of the sentient kangaroo
\nAnd its joey all we see
\nIs the constant thrust of pure disgust
\nAnd inferiority.<\/p>\n
Culture the adhesive
\nThat transcended all our ills
\nLiving without due respect
\nMost resort to pills
\nBeing out of kilter
\nDestructive forces rise
\nAnd thus imabalanced systems
\nThat herald our demise<\/p>\n
In 200 years what have we learned
\nAs our wild life we destroyed
\nAcademics are the gods
\nDespite The wild ones who have toyed
\nBut we preferred the brainwashing
\nOur spirits killed along
\nWith all the wild organic traits
\nAnd ofcourse our song<\/p>\n
Lines and dreamtime tracks
\nThe creative spirit we
\nJoined the arrogant masses
\nTo take through history
\nThe story of our life force
\nAnd the bygones of the start
\nOf Aunty Ro and ofcourse her
\ntribe
\nAnd their eldetic heart<\/p>\n
The wild roo’s of Australia
\nHave an expectation they
\nTheir prospective meditation
\nThey share with us today
\nFar-sighted and sagacious
\nTheir prophesy is strong
\nIts important that we value them
\nFor here they do belong<\/p>\n
They hold that revelation
\nThat omen of before
\nThey are messengers with spirits
\nCreators from the core
\nThe age of colonialism
\nAnd the destruction of the good
\nThe meat trade and its murdering ways
\nThat the wild ones understood<\/p>\n
