My little cat
\nhas a bad eye
\nsoon she will
\nlay down her head
\nand will die
\nmy little “Misty”
\nstood by me, when I
\nwas sick for a year
\nshe purred
\nshe did lie
\nby my side
\nshe absorbed
\nall the pain
\nI expressed
\nShe purred and she stirred
\nevery word

she was there
\nand she helped me
\nshe helped me to see
\noutside my window
\nwas life wild and free
\nand now she is poorly
\nand feeling such strife
