Who was the many eyed Giant?
\nPanoptes by name he was called
\nA Jeremy Benson Smacks of control
\nHis system of design clearly schooled
\nPrison apparently given to watchmen
\nWatching but not being seen
\nBased on deception
\nNot the reception for truth
\nOne might call that quite mean <\/p>\n
An illusion a falseness even deceit
\nA diversion a hoax maybe so
\nBut this is the sculpture
\nIn East Lancashire
\nA series of pipes
\nThat just flow<\/p>\n
Sounds kind of emanate
\nCast by the wind
\nBut the meaning is watchful
\nPerhaps
\nAn underlying artfulness here
\nTongue in cheek possibly chaps<\/p>\n
