\nThey have so much power
\nIf they stoop to enter
\nThe street market and vow
\nTo infiltrate the pharmacies
\nDirectly then they might
\nCause a revolution
\nThat will be far from slight<\/p>\n
In Nigeria we are seeing
\nThe use of codeine highs
\nIts supposed to be pain killing
\nAn opioid of size
\nMix it up with syrup
\nAnd then dilute with coke
\nDrink it like a soft drink
\nWith one hell of a poke<\/p>\n
Of what is massive proportions
\nAnd the youngsters they drinks lots
\nMany love the strawberry flavour
\nAnd not realise the shots
\nthey are getting are so potent
\nThe morbidity they display
\nDestroying internal organs
\nIn a buttock clenching way<\/p>\n
Organ failure and end game
\nMadness you can see
\nSome locals they clap them in irons
\nHelping them to be
\nKept away from people
\nI mean they are as mad as hell
\nInjurious and damaging
\nEven if they love the smell<\/p>\n
For the makers to come to the street
\nThats squalor thats obscene
\nAlready they make a fortune
\nSo at street level its mean
\nHeartless mindless fanatics
\nKnowing the market they
\nAre taking all this poison
\nTo the children what a way<\/p>\n
To earn substantial margins
\nTo go direct and see
\nCutting out the middle men
\nAnd earning rapidly
\nRuining the society
\nDegrading as they go
\nTraumatizing family life
\nAnd watching markets grow<\/p>\n
Its perilous and parlous
\nTheir vulnerability
\nAll of this exposure
\nBreeds insecurity
\nAnd its all fraught with danger
\nDefiance everywhere
\nAttacking the very fabric
\nAnd perhaps unaware<\/p>\n
The severity of the sickness
\nIts uncompromisingly bad
\nCompulsive and coercive
\nAnd in a nutshell sad
\nBreaking up the family units
\nDrawing gangland fights
\nEveryone is taking it
\nAnd its putting out their lights<\/p>\n
Although they are burning vast amounts
\nSeizures everywhere
\nswat teams
\nRaiding seedy clubs
\nDrug barons do not care
\nThe pharmaceutical industry
\nIs totally out of control
\nRavenously greedy
