When Tyrannosaurus stalked
\nThe earth after blood and guts
\nThe tiny ant was watching
\nWalking in his ruts
\nTrillions of them marching
\nReally to their own tune
\nInvested with such intelligence
\nSeemingly immune<\/p>\n
Because they work together
\nUnited all for one
\nAnd one for all
\nTheir clarion call
\nThey cannot be outdone
\nThey communicate on formic acid trails
\nAntennae to
\nThe forefront in their battle
\nTo do what they must do<\/p>\n
They recognize each other by smell
\nAnd woe betide
\nIf you haven’t got our smell
\nthere is no place to hide
\nTheir antennae sweeping side to side
\nBristling with force
\nIn and out of odour fields
\nKeeping dead on course<\/p>\n
Everything each ant does do
\nIs community driven they
\nEach are links in the mighty chain
\nAnd there is no other way
\nThey are a driven army
\nSophisticated and strong
\nArmed with first class weaponry
\nThat really does belong<\/p>\n
Where these ants are living
\nAll pervading being there
\nEffectual and efficient
\nFunctional and fair
\nA zestfulness for everything
\nSurvivability
\nOverpowering overwhelming
\nThats their destiny<\/p>\n
They influence their surroundings
\nAnd gain footings everywhere
\nThey can be domineering
\nThey truthly are aware
\nOf what it is they really need
\nAnd how to get it they
\nHave had a lot of practice
\nAt getting things their way<\/p>\n
Their mounds and nest are truly
\nOut of this world and they
\nGive off formic clouds
\nIf you get close enough
\nThey say
\nIt really is a powerful smell
\nA deodoriser they
\nProduce this from within themselves
\nAny time of day<\/p>\n
Their universe is a sanctity
\nWhere instinctively they build
\nA multi purpose township
\nTheir mantra never yield
\nTo no one fight until the end
\nOur precautions are in place
\nWe are prophets in so many ways
\nOver the human race<\/p>\n
Like the ferocious Dinosaurs
\nWe saw them off as they
\nPerished when the asteroid
\nCrashed down on earth that day
\nBut we had many armies
\nSome of us survived
\nWe learned much through the aeons
\nAnd so we have arrived<\/p>\n
With so much expectations
\nWhatever humans threw
\nAt us we are surely up to it
\nWe have been all through
\nTrillions of us walk their earth
\nOur alien society
\nAll powerful if they only knew
\nOur honest notoriety<\/p>\n
When You go to to destroy us
\nIntuitively we
\nSeem to be mechanical
\nBut ungrudgingly we be
\nAble to be compliant
\nUnprompted and unsought
\nYou hurt one and you hurt us all
\nForcWe all have the same thought<\/p>\n
Thus our retaliation
\nIs punitive and strong
\nOur counterblast is coming
\nThe last laugh will be long
\nwe are omni powerful
\nAnd we shall
\nOvercome
\nA trillion hearts a beating
\nSounds like the loudest drum<\/p>\n
