Uneasiness just watching
\nAgitation and dismay
\nThe cops are knocking on your door
\nTo take your child away
\nThey have a court order
\nFrom the family court
\nThe police state is in overdrive
\nClearly a big wart
\nOn the legal system
\nhow coppers have a right
\nTo come and fetch a baby
\nIn the dead of the night
\nA tale of woe and despondency
\nSuch adversity
\nAnd its happening in NEw Zealand
\nNot the place to be<\/p>\n
Listen to the screaming child
\nWho doesn’t want to go
\nThe displeasure and
\nVexation
\nWho would want to know
\nThese coppers bullying people
\nApparently without remorse
\nThe anxiety is growing
\nThey come in with some force<\/p>\n
The child is clearly upset
\nBeing manhandled in this way
\nAngst ridden and so frightened
\nProbably its worst day
\nIt is beyond barbaric
\nBut has happened back before
\nWhen other children
\nWere taken away
\nAnd all within the law<\/p>\n
The trauma they are facing
\nIt is beyond the pale
\nNEw Zealand’s family courts
\nThis method has to fail
\nThere is nothing worth this hassle
\nFor children to endure
\nThis nightmare carried out by police
\nIts loathsome and no cure<\/p>\n
For any legal reasoning
\nNo actual notice given
\nThe surprise a travesty
\nBut it is court time driven
\nNEw Zealand’s is sinking in the
\nMire of long ago
\nAnd how they think this is justified
