\nTake oil based plastics
\nSome thought what they do
\nWas convenient but they failed
\nTo realise the pollutive quality
\nAnd the chickens are coming home to roost
\nIts TRUE<\/p>\n
In reality all the chemicals to make them
\nTurn our precious world into a soup
\nOf materials that take ages to recycle
\nIn a lot of ways we present this plastic poop
\nIn the oceans in the air we are breathing
\nIts everywhere in landfill and beyond
\nPolythene and polyvinyl chroride
\nLatex fibre glass and celluloid
\nRaffia cellophane and plastic sheeting
\nFishing nets and ropes its everywhere
\nIts truly filthy jettisoned total garbage
\nAnd living creatures see it as despair<\/p>\n
The oceans are our dustbins moderation
\nNo such thing, again the corporate threat
\nIs dump the plastic every single which way
\n1000 years to recycle it no sweat!
\nPhenol and formaldehyde its everywhere
\nCetaceans have swam in the ocean blue
\nLong before these corporates were thought of
\nAnd now of course are dying its not new<\/p>\n
Sheets of plastic mimicking the jellies
\nTurtles whales and dolphins are misled
\nSwallowing down these materials like crazy
\nAnd very often winding up so dead
\nWashed up on our beaches dead and dying
\nPlastic induced gastric shock the cause
\nSea birds being suffocated everywhere
\nFishing nets and tackle we cant pause<\/p>\n
Not one second’ somewhere someones dumping
\nPlastic shit into the sea and they
\nDo not lift their eyebrows and cannot even realise
\nThe animals they are slaughtering each day
\nFisherman dump nets into the ocean
\nAnimals die and ofcourse they rot away
\nThats when the plastic is reintroduced
\nTo kill and keep on killing every day<\/p>\n
Yesterday a sperm whale the lastest victim
\nWith 64 pounds of plastic in its gut
\nRopes nets bags and raffia nets a plenty
\nEven a jerry can I know some mut
\nChucked it in the ocean from some flashy yacht
\nSynthetic made of crude oil plastic we
\nAre trashing the poor oceans killing and a maiming
\nNo one cares a monkeys they all be<\/p>\n
Logging on and off and soaking wifi
\n3 g 4 g 5 g and the rest
\nTheres no communication among people
\nThe plastic revolution I detest
\nThe bloody supermarkets they went
\ncrazy
\nEvery single apple it is wrapped
\nPlastic its just everywhere
\nPetroleum oh yes they share
\nNow this world really must adapt<\/p>\n
These poor cetaceans in our broth of plastic
\nEvery mouthful fish of every size
\nAre sucking in this vile and awful material
\nNone of them nor do we realise
\nWe are becoming partly plastic now inside
\nThanks to oil based corporates everywhere
\nIts totally unpropitious and ill-omened
\nThe fear and trepidation thats out there<\/p>\n
Obnoxiousness and harmfulness is prevalent
\nContaminstion of each vital source
\nInjurious and damaging corrosive and destructive
\nUnwholesome with defilement yes ofcourse
\nIt has become a dangerous situation
\nThe warnings are now everywhere to see
\nWe have abused the oceans with our presence
\nSolvents steroids radio activity<\/p>\n
The ineptitude of people on the high seas
\nTheir incompetence and unfitness to be there
\nChucking bags of rubbish in the ocean
\nLoads of rotten bin bags without care
\nScourings sweepings shavings plastic lumber
\nAll tossed overboard a fruitless task
\nMangled mangy putrefying and stinky
\nAnd nobody infact around to ask.<\/p>\n
Cetacean angels dying in their hundreds
\nBeaching in the sweltering sun they lie
\nGuts filled up with plastic hoots and netting
\nAll these precious mammals have to die
\nTrue deceit is everywhere and nobody
\nIs prepared to ever take the blame
\nAnd more and more dead animale are being washed ashore
\nNobody is worrying though its happening more and more
\nThey dice wuth death and clearly run the gauntlet
\nOn a hiding for nothing it appears
\nThe principle of evil is around us
\nThe deadly crime of plastic in the sea
\nThe suffering and weariness is everywhere
