Among the cetaceans that frequent the sea
\nAre the dolphins and pilot whales
\nAnd some agree
\nAreas affecting their sonar abide
\nBio-accoustically stressing the tide<\/p>\n
Hamelin bay near Augusta is one
\nKnown as a whale trap
\nThe shallows can run
\nA geomagnetic anomaly here
\nAnd strandings can happen
\nSo it does appear<\/p>\n
They are highly social
\nMatriarchal by choice
\nThey remain in their birth pod
\nThats where their voice
\nIs understood aptly
\nWhere they feel at home
\nLoyal and committed
\nWherever they roam<\/p>\n
Recently a large pod disturbed
\nBy the plight
\nOf the dolphins of Taiji
\nAnd the kangaroo’s flight
\nAnd The short finned in the Faroes
\nDriven to shore
\nAnd cut into ribbons
\nWhere its happening more<\/p>\n
The cetaceans are undermined,
\nBy these affairs
\nThey are solemn and unhappy
\nSo many pairs
\nView this brutality
\nIn a poor light
\nAnd decided to make their stand
\nFor what was right<\/p>\n
The aura of murder
\nAnd the tempo of ill
\nBecalms their emotion
\nImmobile and still
\nDisabled by wave flow
\nThe whole pod decide
\nSwimming blindly to strand
\nThemselves in the soft tide<\/p>\n
And this is what happened
\nWhy they all died
\nAll just decided
\nTo commit suicide
\nUnmoving unstirring
\nBring to a rest
\nCollectively thinking
\nThat this was the best<\/p>\n
Protest to make
\nTo the Australian trolls
\nThe government people
\nMost without souls
\nWith spurious falsity
\nAnd such deceit
\nThey slaughter our breathren
\nThey mock and they cheat<\/p>\n
Broome bears the crux
\nSupporting taiji
\nWhere so many pilot whales
\nDie and they be
\nShipped to aquaria all around the world
\nTo hell just for money
\nThats why they are hurled<\/p>\n
Kangaroo slaughter their cries
\nManifest
\nIconic animals that do invest
\nMuch of millenia living and they
\nAre murdered at night
\nIn the spotlights and pay
\nA very high price so other wild folk
\nUse solidarity and its bespoke<\/p>\n
Communication in oceans is rife
\nNothing is lost and so all the strife
\nIs felt by cetaceans who magically know
\nOf the assassinations where ever they go
\nBio accoustically systems are high
\nIts the great ocean web
\nThat does underlie
\nAll of the strandings
\nDepression and pain
\nAnxiety really creating the strain
\nLiving together and perishing too
\nCorroborates and verifies
