In the remotest of areas

\nWhere kangaroo’s graze
\nAll in plain sight
\nWarm gentle souls
\nAll socially bound
\nNursing their offspring
\nWho comes around?<\/p>\n
With their trucks and their guns
\nThe scumbags yes who
\nSet out to murder
\nAssassins all through
\nIts all about money
\nThey cause so much pain
\nKilling so many females
\nAnd breaking the chain<\/p>\n
Of life with the joeys
\nStomped on or thrown
\nInto the bush to die there alone
\nWho has the right to kill infants
\nEn masse
\nand gain validation
\nWith something so crass<\/p>\n
Being able to shoot straight
\nAnd butcher wild life
\nSlaughtering mothers
\nCausing babies such strife
\nOur precious wild animals
\nWho need to be
\nWhere they were put
\nthroughout history<\/p>\n
Selling them tags
\nValidating the threat
\nWhat they do is excessive
\nThe Meat Traders set
\nUsing lead bullets
\nTo slaughter and kill
\nCreating pollution
\nFrom the lead swill <\/p>\n
And its all down to management
\nThe constant abuse
\nBarely 13 kilos
\nAnother ruse
\nAnd many missed head shots
\nNo monitoring
\nUnrestrained louts
\nThe threatening wing<\/p>\n
Caught in the spotlights

\nTheir life force is sacrificed

\nMurdered in hot blood
\nSo much blood spilled
\nIn the name of good husbandry
\nCattle and sheep
\nWho all would be killed
\nWhilst the city folK sleep<\/p>\n
Death and destruction
\nTo the wild ones and those
\nExcuses for slaughtering
\nWho do suppose
\nA life on the farms
\nIn the ranches around
\nSupplying the flesh
\nBe it chopped up or ground<\/p>\n
Butchered way out in the outback
\nThe heat
\nThey are the hatchet men
\nNothing is neat
\nBasically contract killers
\nThats all they be
\nPoleaxing angels
\nAny they see<\/p>\n
E coli strep and staph
\nThey explode
\nIn the heat and the dark
\nOn a dirty bush road
\nInadequate cooling
\nFrighteningly so
\nAn obtuseness and insentient
\nNauseous flow<\/p>\n
Where is the consciousness

\nUnmonitored louts in the dead of the night
\nWhere is the inner child

The Roo’s feel abandoned

\nOut in the wilderness
\nWhere they were hurled
\nLong before shooters

\nBefore they were thought of

Whose non cooperation
\nAnd backwardness rules
\nWith iniquitous thought
