With the daffodile pushing
\nUp through the cold sod
\nA dusting of snow flutters down
\nWhich feels odd
\nSpring’s clearly sprung
\nYet Winter appears
\nTo cling on to its spot
\nWith its ensuing fears<\/p>\n
Thistledown light forms
\nBlown here and there
\nBubbly and fluffy
\nAppearing to share
\nTheir pliable floppiness
\nAnd buoyancy
\nWeaving and warping
\nCoarse grained satiny<\/p>\n
Outside my window the dear Rosemary
\nA bright evergreen with flowers ordinarily
\nBut now with soft snowflakes too
\nMimicking flowers
\nShuddering sprightly
\nEach of its towers
\nHolding together stability
\nAs the wind gathers strength
\nWhere the Celtic ash tree
\nTomorrow will be replaced
\nBy the Alder the sky
\nIs bearing some light
\nWhich is clearly why<\/p>\n
The snow isnt heavy
\nBut its fresh and cold
\nChattering teeth
\nGoose pimples unfold
\nA nip in the air
\nA blizzard of sorts
\nA perishing wind
\nGiving shuddering thoughts<\/p>\n
An uncanny silence
\nA softness of sound
\nOn the road its not settling
\nBut is on the ground, in the gardens
\nAnd hedges, a white ermine skin
\nWith its own vividness
\nLets us begin<\/p>\n
To enjoy the lustre
\nOf light on the snow
\nThe flames as the daffodils
\nYellow does glow
\nResplendent its golden horns
\nNodding away
\nAnd A shimmering spangle
