Ostriches are beautiful
\nSocial creatures they
\nMales take turns to sit on the eggs
\nThey don’t just walk away
\nThey take their responsibility
\nOf maleness unlike us
\nThey don’t leave it all to mother
\nThey openly discuss<\/p>\n
But we dont care for Nature
\nFor wildness all we care
\nIs about making money
\nOut of anything thats there
\nWe dont care about creation
\nOf life if its not ours
\nWe dont care about wild animals
\nIn our ivory towers<\/p>\n
We make feather dusters
\nAnd so we pull them out
\nIt gives that abused texture
\nBut thats what its about
\nThe ladies like this leather

\nThe slaughter house

An Ostrich in the wilds
\nWill live 40 years or more
\nBut because you need a handbag

One year on this planet

They can make a killing

\nTheir knowldge with each other
\nTHey are enigmatic souls
\nThey do not harm the planet
\nAnd understand their roles<\/p>\n
You demonstrate your ignorance
\nYour blatancy to be
\nShameless exhibitionists
\nDoused in flagrancy
\nYour delusions of grandeur
\nWearing your ostrich shoes
\nWith all the arrogant swagger
\nThe veneer that I refuse<\/p>\n
To see you as attractive

\nYour pompous
\nSelf- importance
\nAkin to insanity
\nTurgid and inflated
\nVulgar flaunting tarts
\nBelieving yourselves to have made it

\nOr a pair of bloody ostrich shoes

The West Cape slaughterhouses
\nAre really awfully cruel
\nThey care nothing for these babies
\nSuch action should appal
\nYou no doubt would be sickened
\nBy the noise the guts the blood
\nBut readily go to Knightsbridge
\nWhere There always is a flood<\/p>\n
Of fashion houses ready
\nTo flog this evil stuff
\nWhat does amount to cruelty
\nMost cannot get enough
\nThe profit is colossal
\nThe balance sheets do well
\nDragging feathered angels
\nFrom their paradise into HELL?<\/p>\n
They put them in a flashy bag
\nAnd yea you do feel good
\nWhen you get back to where you live
\nAnd unpack because you could
\nYou keep the bag to remind yourself
\nThat you can go and buy
\nThe cruelty and the horror
\nAnd you are why they die<\/p>\n
And with that inside your brainwashed heads
\nYou can sleep at night
\nThe nightmares that the ostrich family have
\nIts theres by right
\nYou can wear your ostrich shoes
