The Indian Water Buffalo
\nFaces adversity
\nTransported to Katmandu
\nWhere they are murdered mercilessly
\n500 or so everyday
\nSlaughtered in the street
\nWith sledgehammers and knives
\nNothing is discreet<\/p>\n
Their suffering is awful
\nBabies especially
\nTied up and transported
\nWithout water or food
\nThey be
\nBeaten many many times
\nStress for them severe
\nThey are majestic animals
\nWho end their lives in fear<\/p>\n
India is opposed to killing
\nCattle as we know
\nBut it goes on despite religion
\nAnd infact does grow
\nNEpal is entirely backward
\nIn the slaughtering for meat
\nThe butchers there use tradition
\nAnd its just done in the street<\/p>\n
The authorities are lax alas
\nWhy they are remiss
\nDespite the constitution
\nWe see permissiveness
\nA line of least resistance
\nNon-intervention there
\nAlas there is such lawlessness
\nAnd terrible despair<\/p>\n
HIndu’s Sihks and Jains
\nConsider cattle killing wrong The constitution 48
\nIt does not belong
\nBut its done under the cover of darkness
\nEveryday
\nAnd more and more are being shipped
\nAnd murdered in this way<\/p>\n
Pinned down tied and shackled
\nPrisoners they be
\nThe poker faced unseeing
\nWho use brutality
\nFor them its all just money
\nThey are criminality
\nAnd the animals are subject
\nTo such dark depravity<\/p>\n
Tormented and angst-ridden
\nMaltreated all the way
\nBeaten many many times
\nReally made to pay
\nEnduring all this harshness
\nThis roughness and abuse
\nAnd when they get to katmandu
\nThere just is no excuse<\/p>\n
For what happens to these animals
\nThis harrowing affair
\nButchers from the stoneage
\nWho are waiting there
\nTear-jerking and pathetic
\nDeplorable to see
\nBeyond the limits of tolerance
\nThey die in agony<\/p>\n
Carnivores who look the other way
\nAnd refuse to hear
\nThe screams that are now commonplace
\nPuncturing the ear
\nThe hideousness the gracelessness
\nFrom the harridans of pain
\nButt-ugly violent butchering scum
\nWhose odious refrain<\/p>\n
Unseemly marred and shapeless
\nAs human beings they
\nAre grotesque and Ill-proportioned
\nGrimacing constantly
\nBarbarians just shameless
\nServants of the crowd
\nBeyond the pale and indecorous
\nSo unrefined and loud<\/p>\n
The buffalo’s of noble stock
\nAnd an ancestry thats strong
\nReally high caste herbivores
\nWhose lives were far from long
\nThey possess a humble spirit
\nThey are caring and are true
\nBut soaked up human resentment
