Contemptuousness and despisedness
\nA paltriness of mind
\nFor governments to do this
\nSo terribly unkind
\nThe indignity of breaking up
\nFamilies in this way
\nOf weaning them from ancestors
\nAnd making the children pay<\/p>\n
In America in Canada in Australia
\nWe saw
\nThe outrageous and insulting
\nAnd all within the law
\nSuch arrogance such unadulteration
\nTo a cause
\nThe wounded hearts and minds
\nWhere nobody did pause<\/p>\n
Taking up the innocent
\nThe children the disgrace
\nWitnessing the elders now
\nThe deep lines on their face
\nThe terrible neglect and hatred
\nThat they clearly did feel
\nThe webbed strap on their buttocks
\nThat time cannot conceal<\/p>\n
To have lived through this great vileness
\nTo have suffered all that pain
\nTaken from one’s parents
\nThat Some would never see again
\nRooting out their culture
\nDismissing it as vile
\nBeing taken advantage of
\nWith all the incredulous bile<\/p>\n
Their innocence their consciences
\nAll free of any blame
\nBut treated just like criminals
\nBu those clearly insane
\nHearts of iron loose morals
\nUnworthiness to be
\nSinfulness and ungoldliness
\nAnd dark depravity<\/p>\n
The indigenous have suffered
\nSuch immorality
\nNefarious those teachers
\nOn the abandoned and worthy
\nBrutalized and corrupted
\nBy the governments of the day
\nWho were wicked as the days were long
\nAnd my hope is they will pay<\/p>\n
Unregretting and obdurate
\nHopeless such despair
\nThat they really had no regrets
\nFor the evil they did share
\nSuch grossness and such nastiness
\nAnd terrible indecency
\nTo other peoples angels
\nSuch filthiness and indelicacy<\/p>\n
Tongues pulled out and pinched
\nTortured that they were
\nHair cuts for young warriors
\nClearly to refer
\nImmodest and so brazen
\nSuch violations they
\nWere criminalized and beaten
\nSome yes everyday<\/p>\n
