The Ruzizi river National Park
\nWhere father time has stood
\nWatching the warring factions
\nWhich really wasnt good
\nFor all of Natures children
\nDotted around the scene
\nThe Hippo’s and the Crocodiles
\nAnd the resplendent jungle green<\/p>\n
Much neglect and damage
\nSees Nature take control
\nOne crocodile named Gustave
\nApparently took the role
\nOf monster of the river
\n20 feet or more
\n2000 pounds a reptile tank
\nReady to go to war<\/p>\n
Teeth like concrete scimitars
\nSharp as razors they
\nExposed to the light
\nHis great mouth open all the day
\nArmour plated body
\nWith evidence of pain
\nMachine gun bullets and spear damage
\nBut he’d learned to swim again<\/p>\n
A man eater some 300 innocents
\nAre dead
\nHe has become a legend
\nFrom the size of his great head
\nHe really is a demon
\nAnd proven hard to trap
\nDespite the film in 2004
\nHe has proven to be a chap<\/p>\n
Much cleverer than anyone
\nImagined he could be
\nDespite the best of everything
\nScientifically
\nStill no one could catch him
\nGustave clearly defies
\nAll the attempts to catch him
\nBecause he is really wise<\/p>\n
The hand built trap they made for him
\nIt collapsed into the river
\nThe live goat they had placed inside
\nWas gone great Mother giver
\nOf life had stole away
\nAnd if it was old Gustave
\nHe
\nate the goat and Made his note
\nThat he was swimming free<\/p>\n
That he was a true reality
\nHe was no myth for he
\nLoved the taste of the local men
\nWho fished there constantly
\nThe pitman traps and the hand made trap
\nWere really not his thing
\nHe prefereed the soft white sandbanks
\nAnd the river where he was king.<\/p>\n
He was sighted again in 2008
\nI wonder where he is tonight\uff1f<\/p>\n
