The magick of a mooring
\nWhere the lapping waters flow
\nWhere reasoning and consciousness
\nAnd thoughtfulness does grow
\nThe canalside offers so much
\nOf the mysticism we
\nDeliberated on it seems
\nBack in history<\/p>\n
We can with observation
\nSee a picture in which we
\nBecome a part and with our heart
\nWe feel within and be
\nOn that floating sweet domain
\nThe wood fire warming through
\nThe kindled smoke is rising
\nWarming the autumn dew<\/p>\n
Around us on the towpath
\nLeaves of every hue
\nA mosaic of immensity
\nMindful that we do
\nRest our aching bodies
\nStill our raging heart
\nClose our eyes and rest awhile
\nAnd just try to impart<\/p>\n
Some wisdom from the silence
\nLet thoughtfulness enquire
\nMusing and refusing
\nTo sit down by the fire
\nThat generates a calmness
\nAnd a peacefulness where you
\nCan really feel the likelihood
\nOf feeling like you do<\/p>\n
Of dreaming a good reason
\nOf not watching tv
\nJust of thinking out of the box
\nThe probability
\nOf the gentle lapping
\nOf the boat on the canal
\nAnd feeling the enchantment
\nOf possibly a pal<\/p>\n
You know who shares your wisdom
\nYour magick and your fire
\nWith knowledge and enlightenment
\nAwareness and desire
\nTo learn about the magick arts
\nAnd follow paths to where
\nAncient energies re awaken
\nAnd together you will share<\/p>\n
A certain state of being
\nA ritual in a way
\nUncharted and untravelled
\nAm I qualified to say
\nPerhaps not but with poets eyes
\nAnd ears the sounds appear
\nPositive forever
\nAnd for me they do seem clear<\/p>\n
Like opening a window on a spring day
\nOpen the heart and the light will exhilerate
\nYou and all will be good again<\/p>\n
