Remorselessness and heartlessness
\nThe forest tribes embittered by
\nMade to slave in temperatures
\nTruthfully far too high
\nWorking at the logging stages
\nVery heavy arduous work
\nBranches scratching deep wounds
\nWhere bugs and true infections lurk<\/p>\n
Elephants great hearts that render
\nHours of slavery every day
\nUnbelievable feelings they have
\nBut we take them for granted say
\nWe ever thought of how they suffered
\nEver cared about their pain
\nInstead we just expected more
\nTheir remonstrations all in vain<\/p>\n
Deforestation clearly madness
\nWhen its was halted what we found
\nWas elephants tired and exhausted
\nSome were blind too and the ground
\nThey walked even that was painful
\nSo a sanctaury was where
\nSome were put to live their lives out
\nFar removed from the despair<\/p>\n
One man his name it was Paul Barton
\nHe could feel the angst and pain
\nHe played piano and enjoyed the music
\nEvery single sweet refrain
\nThose vibrations all that goodness
\nHe imagined he could feel
\nThe blind elephants their reaction
\nTo his music it was real<\/p>\n
Empathy a mutual respect
\nUnselfishness and mercy mild
\nWith only the best intentions
\nHe could feel their very wild
\nEnlightenment, and benediction
\nSo large but gentle they did sway
\nClearly they could feel the music
\nThe recognition of the way<\/p>\n
A gratefulness and appreciation
\nBeholden to each other they
\nPaul was playing the elephants listening
\nTo the order of each day
\nA dummy piano a mock expression
\nElephants clearly participate
\nWatch and learn the certain rhythms
\nGrateful for the meditative state<\/p>\n
Absolution and such forbearance
\nFor the torture from before
\nTheir longsuffering seemingly softened
\nBy whatever unique score
\nSomewhat of a vindication
\nWatching hearing melody
\nThose vibration brought them promise
