A fate you wouldn’t dream of,
\nis happening today
\nto thousands of poor innocent dogs
\nall stolen away
\nfrom their owners,
\nfrom the various pounds,
\nand of course, off the street
\nits the vilest nastiest trade
\nthere is, and its not even discreet
\nthe market place is
\nThailand, Laos, and Vietnam
\nthe most sordid rusty buckled crates
\nand inside 6 dogs they cram
\nin the process
\nlegs get broken, eyes gouged
\nthey side by side
\ntheir dropped and stomped
\non all the way, and its not denied
\nthe dog meat trade for
\nChinese new year boosts the market place
\ntraders selling dog meat
\nearn big bucks, so no disgrace
\nit just doesn’t, seem to get to them,
\nthey are heartless and prepared
\nto let these poor dogs suffer so
\nI mean, no soul is spared
\nHumanity has sunk into a chasm,
\nto force feed these poor souls
\nbefore they’re killed
\njust to make a few more
\nmeasly dollars, and not one
\nthought for the blood
\nthats sadly spilled
\nhuddled, shaking,
\nin their bloodied cages
\ndoleful eyed
\ndogs stare into the sky,
\nas one by one, their comrades
\nare pulled upwards on the hook,
\nand smashed about the head
\nuntil they die
\neach can see the inevitable end,
\nits in their face
\nas each friend is obliterated
\nyes its a disgrace
\nfor so called sentient humans
\nto stoop to this degree
\nof what is clearly a
\nhorrific threat to our humanity
\nmany are not killed, outright
\ntheir thrust into a drum
\nof boiling water
\nwhere their skin is ripped off
\nI feel numb

\nit makes me shake
\nit makes me sick inside
\nits callousness beyond belief
\nand nobody has lied
\nits happening, its customary,
\nin Thailand people know
\nthe police are stopping
\ntrucks and boats
\nbut it still goes on there so
\nthe world has got to
\nmake a stand for the voiceless
\nones must be
\ndriven to such terror
\nfrom man’s depravity
\nThe trucks in which 800
\nor so dogs can find their way
\nin these rusty lopsided crates
\non a brutally hot day
\nno food, no water, imagine it
\nthe stifling heat we must
\nask those people doing this
\nwhy it does disgust
\nanyone you speak to,
\nso why do people feel
\nso unthinking towards other souls
\nwhose terror is clearly real
\nfor what, so they can
\nmake a bit more profit, at the cost
\nof a bigger percentage dying
\nso a bigger percentage lost
\nlive dogs\/dead dogs
\nthey don’t mind the market out there seems
\nto just want to eat dog meat,
\nthe nightmarish of dreams
\ndoesn’t touch their psyche
\nand all the torrid grief
\nis lost in fact in the selling
\nfor its all done on belief
\non the so called long traditions
\nof health provision
\nand
\nwhat we say or criticize
\nthey refuse to understand
\nin fact they point their fingers
\nat the West who kill their cows,
\ntheir pigs their sheep their goats
\ntheir chicks they talk of extended powers
\nfrom eating this or that and wonder
\nwhy we tell them they
\nshould now refrain from eating dogs
\ndoes it stand up anyway?
\nof course it stands up in the
\ngreat court of humanity
\nthe evil nasty despicable crimes
\nfilmed so we can see
\nthese poor dogs being tortured
\nin every kind of way
\nare made to suffer
\nit couldn’t be tougher all along the way
\nto put one’self into the mind
\nof a poor dog in a cage
\nlooking at the others die,
\nand knowing that the rage
\nhe feels for those who
\ncarry out this evil on his friends,
\nwho have subjected them to torture well
\nrapidly it sends
\nevery thinking person
\ninto a depressed state
\nthe karmic debt extraordinary
\nthe consequences great
\nthis trade in dogs
\nfor dog meat sales is vile
\nand has to be. stopped,
\nthe people now concerned
\nare imprisoned, walking free
\nwhen carrying out such torture
\nand knowing its a key
\nto make a few more dollars means
\nit can never be<\/p>\n
