The great scale of humility
\nFalls on a few
\nAnd sadly so many suffer they do
\nOne little soul was half buried there
\nwhimpering quietly in so much despair
\nVery few heard him but there were a few
\nWho came with a blanket and empathy too
\nExamined the dog and clearly they saw
\nA very bad wound looking terribly raw<\/p>\n
Its organs exposed it was dreadful to see
\nBut with care and attention
\nTo the veterinary
\nWho realised rapidly how bad it was
\nCleaned the wound stitched it and bandaged
\nBecause
\nThe need was there so to do
\nAnd now we see
\nThe dog wags his tail and runs easily.<\/p>\n
There are a few angels in every place
\nWith small golden hearts and an ordinary face
\nThey give where they can of their time and their care
\nAnd when victims whimper sometimes they are there
\nAnimal aid giving hope to the few
