Killer whales are amazingly intelligent
\nThey stalk the oceans
\nIn groups known as pods
\nThey have their own means of communication
\nTruly must have been sent by the gods<\/p>\n
They do strike terror into the hearts of many
\nA mighty predator they are for sure
\nBut what is happening now upon the oceans
\nIs pirate long liners are creating gore<\/p>\n
Many killer whales are being slaughtered
\nAs they rise to take baits from the lines
\nThese pirates toss explosives in the water
\nKilling them and so we see the signs<\/p>\n
Out there by the crozet islands
\nNot so many orcas anymore
\nThey realised the chilean Bass
\nA big deep water fish
\nCould be stolen from long liners lines
\nQuite a tasty dish<\/p>\n
But clearly rotten pirates
\nRather than lose their catch
\nWould rather blow the orcas up
\nWhen the are on their patch<\/p>\n
And now orcas are cautious
\nBut realise that they
\nCan steal the hooked fish easily
\nAnd try to get their way<\/p>\n
Also known as the Patagonian tooth fish
\nIts found deep
\nToo deep for the Orca’s
\nWho simply cannot reap
\nThe excellent nutrition
\nUnless the pirate hordes<\/p>\n
Are willing to share their catch
\nWith them
