At The best of times live animals
\nAs stock items in zoo\u2019s
\nAre dele da t on the footfall
\nAnd zoo\u2019s can be bad news
\nFor the animals who live there
\nTaken from the wild
\nThrust into the prison
\nSeemingly self styled<\/p>\n
Freedom they had freedom
\nAnd it\u2019s all taken away
\nA zoom is just a prison
\nOn any given day
\nFood is rarely foraged
\nIt\u2019s bought I. and it does
\nDepend on customers coming
\nThat regular tell tale buzz<\/p>\n
Of people buying tickets
\nAnd if sad,y there\u2019s few
\nThen the animals they suffer
\nA problem that\u2019s not new
\nTaken from their habitat
\nFrom their family
\nFrom their place
\nAnd dumped in a small cage
\nIt\u2019s really a disgrace<\/p>\n
Animals are weary
\nLocked up in a cage
\nTake away their freedom
\nAnd boy do they soon age
\nFed on frozen foods
\nThrown in to their space
\nLife for the Sedentary
\nReally a snails pace<\/p>\n
The thought of being locked up
\nEvery single day
\nAngels become criminals
\nAnd so much they pay
\nThere is no lateral thinking
\nThere is no living soul
\nTo where the sit on concrete
\nIn a concrete hole<\/p>\n
There is no family contact
\nit\u2019s a concrete gaol
\nBars all around
\nAnd a concrete pad
\nNo one to hear you howl
\nHaving the awareness of life
\nAnd what you miss
\nSitting twiddling your paws
\nCompletely lacking bliss<\/p>\n
The zoo is rich witH ignorance
\nLittle is known about you
\nThey are just unenlightened
\nBewildered that\u2019s my view
\nThere is no stimulation
\nNo guidance from above
\nNo feeling of a partner
\nOr anyone you love<\/p>\n
A zoo is just a prison
\nWhere human being go
\nThe absurdity of being
\nA regular picture show
\nSenselessly regarded
\nAs something to stare at you
\nLose your right to be alone
\nAnd do what you want to do<\/p>\n
Your mental balance is countenanced
\nBy people who want to see
\nYou doing things
\nAnd they throw food at you
\nIt messes with your Qi
