\nRespected universally
\nruthless warriors they be
\nBut nurturing mothers angelically
\nFormidable in every way
\nLeaders too thats what we say
\nA magickal balance is how we see
\nThe male and female energy<\/p>\n
From beach to desert
\nAnd all between
\nSun and earth
\nThe compassion screen
\nSpiritual awareness
\nThe kangaroo
\nIts knowledge of life
\nIs in all we do<\/p>\n
Society in this modern day
\nHas in so many ways alas
\nActually now lost its way
\nLost the respect of creation
\nThe forces out there who
\nDevise and show us how to be
\nAnd create a world thats true<\/p>\n
We allow the fictitious
\nMonetary making lust
\nTo obliterate our philosophy
\nAnd replace it with disgust
\nThe prophets of the earlier times
\nLost in the dust of now
\nThe corporatocracy swallows up
\nThe unbegotten vow<\/p>\n
The visionary aspects
\nThe undying kangaroo
\nThey be truly iconic
\nTo the world they are a view
\nOf what is our great content
\nThe totemism we
\nLinked into our dreamtime
\nFor all eternity<\/p>\n
To thus create a nothingness
\nA lack of density
\nA shallowness of spirit
\nOf impalpability
\nTo tag and kill each mother
\nTo allow the stomping phase
\nTo descend into the great morass
\nA purpose made malaise<\/p>\n
Is to throw away the essence
\nThe historicity
\nThe beauty of Australia
\nThat the world at large can see
\nOur identity our genuineness
\nOur incomparable desire
\nTo never forget ancestors
\nAnd sybolisms fire<\/p>\n
The minutiae of spirit
\nThe politicians brief
\nProfitting from profit
\nHas no lasting relief
\nCreation the great mother
\nThe natural urge to be
\nCompassionate and trusting
\nThats the energy<\/p>\n
The symbiotic union
\nIt has to be attained
\nWe need that strong cohesion
\nAt present it feels strained
\nWe are rupturing the close bond
\nWith totemic mythology
\nAnd losing sight of our natural world
\nAnd its creativity<\/p>\n
The Wedge tailed Eagle the albatross
\nAnd ofcourse the Kangaroo
\nThe heron and the wallaby
\nAnd the Black Cockatoo
\nThe Goanna and Rainbow serpent
\nAll have a place and they
\nHave to retain their freedom
\nTo be respected every day<\/p>\n
Sacrificing wholeness
\nThe all embracing power
\nWhat is our immaturity
\nThe omission of the hour
\nThe incoordination and
\nIrregularity
\nLeading to a shambles
\nIn the way that some now see<\/p>\n
The kangaroos are wasted
\nFor leather for our shoes
\nTheir precious babies stomped upon
\nCollateral, we refuse
\nTo look upon creation
