A silver truck
\nPassing the buck
\nA painter man by trade
\nIs this an illusion
\nTo me his motives fade
\nHis pet desire is killing
\nOur iconic kangaroo
\nDelusion are the keywords here
\nSuch sophistry seems true<\/p>\n
I see all this as guileful
\nWith a spurious intent
\nOn the one hand he is a painter
\nThat appears to be his bent
\nBut to also slaughter animals
\nThe wild folk of the field
\nFor me there hangs a falsity
\nAs the rifle he doth wield<\/p>\n
I cannot abide these killers
\nWho go out late at night
\nAnd become in fact assassins
\nFor me this can’t be right
\nHow we allow such evil
\nTo permeate our souls
\nIts a veneer that operates silently
\nAnd betrays the very roles<\/p>\n
That one expects from people
\nBelief is afterall
\nUngrounded and unfounded
\nWhen the painter comes to call
\nFor me its hypocritical
\nTo slaughter kangaroos
\nAnd to also be painter
\nHaving such extremist views<\/p>\n
I hate the fact that animals
\nAre murdered everyday
\nAnd those that go out shooting them
\nThere is no way I could pay
\nAnything into their pot
\nSo they can carry on
\nOn the pretext they are painters
\nBut as killer they do don<\/p>\n
The mask of the so called hunter
\nWho ambushes the prey
\nOut there in the darkness
\nOn any given day
\nButchering and murdering
\nSuch action I despise
\nIn pursuit of the innocent
\nWhich i so realise<\/p>\n
How could I have him in my home
\nHow could I bear to be
\nHelping pay for his killing ways
\nThat sickness within me
\nDestroys goodwill apparent
\nThere is no way i can see
\nMy way to ever employing him
\nFor a victim Too I be<\/p>\n
The suffering these creatures
\nUndergo Really to be
\nWild and living in the bush
\nWith their family
\nThe angst and yes the anguish
\nOf feeding late at night
\nAnd being caught up in all the grief
\nOf a shooters bright headlight<\/p>\n
A joey in your pouch
\nA pinky in their too
\nAn ordeal for any mother
\nThe misery they woo
\nThe utter desolation
\nOf knowing that such woe
\nIn an instant Becomes agony
\nas your eyes close and you know<\/p>\n
Its all over
